Answer:	The 58oz scoop is quite large, and could be used to scoop soil, fertilizer, pellets or granules. It is heavy duty, and as long as you don't put it in the dishwasher, should give you years of service.

Answer:	I've had this for about 2 years now, and it's has NOT rusted. It's cast iron, which doesn't rust. I use it primarily for scooping & spreading salt flakes to melt the ice off of the walkway & driveway during the severe winters in my town. Very handy and easy to use.

Answer:	It is NOT dishwasher safe. Takes the shiny outer layer completely off. Leaves it with metal powder that rubs off all over fingers, which I don’t want going into my drinks.
