Answer:	I personally thought these tools were made in the united states or Mexico or something like that but according to the product scan sticker on the back of the case these tools are made in Taiwan r.o.c sorry I am thinking you thought because of the price or quality of these tools they would be made in the u.s. sorry it does not look like they are but they are way above average quality no matter where they are made and this tool set is still a very good buy.

Answer:	UUGGH!! Hate it when that happens!! Sorry, but you received a dud! The pliers should be perfectly aligned like any other pliers. Maybe yours got damaged somewhere in transit. Honestly, don't give up hope. Send them back and request a new pair. These pliers are really great for hobbies and crafts that require precision. Been using mine for several months now. Love them!! BTW, saw a few reviews that said theirs broke. Well not sure if they're using them to fix their car, cuz that's not what these are made for. Treat them right, and they'll easily become your new favorite tool.

Answer:	I'm assuming you mean at the tip of the pliers, Yes they are less than 2mm thick. Each tip is about 1mm wide and .75mm thick as an approximation using a ruler and a magnifying glass (I don't have calipers on hand.) Hope this helps.
