This is a very heavy/thick silicone spray. I use it on everything, car tires, rubber molding & trim, door slides, doesn't stain or evaporate away. Question:	Can i use this to stop the squeaky of my hardwood floor? i saw some posts saying it's safer than wd
Answer:	Due to resultant slickness, I would not use this where people or pets walk, it would risk a fall. Care should be taken that it not get on floors, it is not for walking surfaces. Please do not apply it in this way. Even furniture polish overspray onto floors can result in hazardous slippery falls. Squeaks in floors would best be fixed through different means. I am no carpenter, but I would think the squeak is probably underneath- between the hardwood and subfloor and the spray would not reach anyway. It is a very good product, but just not suitable for application to a floor because of the slippery result.

Answer:	I believe it is about preference. I have a 99 accord and I had been using the 3m brand when I change my pads 2 years after I bought my car. I used the napa brand silglyde on my daughters car and it is ok. But after a few days , my daughter complain about squeeking. So I lube everything again with the 3m brand and it works fine. Answer:	Per 3M data sheet for product 08946, Silicone Lubricant, dated Oct. 2011. "...Used to seal out contaminants, moisture or elements that can lead to corrosion. Use as a dielectric paste on low voltage electrical parts where arching and oxidation may occur and as a heat transfer membrane between heat sinks." So looks like product 08946 Silicone Paste is acceptable for use in low voltage applications.
Question:	Is it recommended for treadmill mats
Answer:	I don't know if you could call it "clear", like model airplane glue used to be...mine is sort of a translucent milky clear, and I hope that's as clear as mud ;-) I doubt you got a bad can. This stuff is temp stable thru a wide range.

Answer:	Hello, there's nothing to suggest that it will degrade door seals. The manufacturer does market this item to transportation and specialty vehicle markets. Even though it is "GreenGuard" certified, you should still take precautions and wear protective gear while applying. Be sure to read all instructions/warnings on the label on this or other aerosol products.

Answer:	I'm not really sure what you mean "harden rubber". This spray does not harden at all. It is a lubricant. I use it on hinges to get rid of squeaks, and window and screen tracks to get smoother operation if they have begun to stick or drag. I can use it on any color door or window, since it is transparent. If you are asking if you could spray it on the rubber seal, I don't see why not. Or you could spray it on the metal, depending on which angle is most attainable. After all, it is silicone.

Answer:	Mission Automotive Silicone Paste. I bought an 8oz jar of it in 2018 and have barely made a dent in it, hehe. The stuff is great! I started using silicone when I bought an underwater metal detector years ago. The manual was very specific that you shouldn't use Vaseline on the rubber seals! I had a small container of the stuff that was about the size of three silver dollars stacked up... I had gone thru about half of it and decided to get some more. After looking at prices, I figured it was worth the big cost savings just to buy a big thing of it instead of a small tube! As infrequent as i use it, it will still be sitting on my shelf, in great condition, for the next 10-20 years! :)
Question:	Can I spray this on a cloth and wipe onto part to be lubricated from that, or will it dry on the cloth before I have a chance to do so
Answer:	it does not dry like an alcohol product. you should have no problem spraying it on a cloth and using almost right away (go answer the phone, use the restroom). if you leave the cloth until tomorrow - not so much.
