Once it’s properly assembled ( does seem to take some time), then operation is suitable for a beginner (again, must be very technically inclined). My son did request a different type of filament that I also purchased on Amazon, because the included roll isn’t that great. I don’t remember which one I purchased, but it was about 20.00. He also suggested getting or building a table to sit it on, as you should not sit it directly on the floor. He’s making one to put beside his desk, but I’m sure any small table would do. I’m very excited myself to see it in action, but I guess I’ll have to wait until Christmas.

Answer:	You're really constrained by your max temperature which is around 260 to 275 C. Functionally, I'd keep it below 250 to avoid degrading the PTFE tubing. That temperature will allow you to print most of the common materials like petg and abs on top of what is listed.

Answer:	I have one of these and honestly its quieter then my CR10. I measured the sound level and it was between 49-51 decibels which is the equivalent of a quiet office and that was when it was printing and its stock no upgrades to the fans or drivers this printer is nice.

Question:	Is there a reason it uses 2 different size tubes? The 4.0/2.0 is standard, but for some reason the printer uses a 2.0/2.5 as the long tube

Answer:	The bed is 235x235mm though the machine is said to print 220x220mm. I’ve printed up to 240mm on this machine with some slicer tweaks. Yes that means printing over the edges of the bed. It prints up to 250mm high. This printer has managed to print everything I’ve ever printed. I even bought a larger machine and still haven’t found anything that won’t print on the Ender 3.

I'm printing small parts 1/2" x 1/4" x 1/4" with transverse holes through them and been very impressed at the smoothness of the final product. There is a QiDi X-One print review vid on YT that shows the quality. If you then want a totally smooth surface, place the printed components in a covered bucket with a rag soaked in acetone. Ensure the parts do not touch the rag. Leave for an hour and the acetone vapor will melt the ribbed surface smooth to achieve a close to glass finish!Enjoy!

Answer:	No. But I am not sure trusting a print to a wireless connection is a good idea. Unless said printer can buffer the entire g-code.I only print with the SD card. I don't even trust a wired connection.

Answer:	It is pretty much on spec. The printer is a tank. But it runs like one too. Great printer. I haven't had any issues with it, except one minor nozzle clog that took 10 minutes to resolve. Nozzle clogs are to be expected with almost any printer.

Answer:	It has to fit in a six-inch square space. You could make cookie cutters. There's some debate, however, about using PLA printed items with food. I would read up on that.

I have one at home and one at school that my students just love too. The finder is all put together and ready to go with a few adjustments. The Bibo you will have to put together. I would not recommended the Bibo for beginners.

Question:	Having problems with extruder about half-way through each of the first two projects. Advice
Answer:	First make sure you have proper heat. PLA I run at 198C. ABS 245C. Next make sure you have PTFE tube is all the way down to the bottom of the print head. PTFE tube goes about an inch or so down into the print head. If it is not fully in could cause heat creep melting filiment to soon clogging before it gets to the nozzle.

Resume Print

When attempting some larger prints, even a 3-second power outage could spell disaster for a model already 10 hours or more into a longer print. The Ender 3 comes with a state of the art control board which, in the event of an unexpected power outage or surge, will remember the last recorded position of the extruder. POM Triangle-Slot Wheels

Design

Popular free to download slicing software such as Cura will divide or "slice" the 3D model into thin horizontal layers. A large multitude of previously designed 3D models are readily available on various internet websites for free. The software then creates a code that your printer can read and understand. Basically a set of instructions for the hardware in the printer. Save this "Gcode" file to a microSD card like a normal file. Many profiles are already available for use with the Ender 3 through Cura.

Ready

Upload the file to your printer via the microSD card. Ensure that the building surface or "hotbed" is level with the nozzle or "hotend" and start the print. The Ender 3 will automatically read the code in the file you selected and start extruding molten plastic filament onto the printing surface.

Printing

Watch as the printer automatically prints the layers on top of each other, one after another with incredible accuracy. The margin of error in the Ender 3 is a minuscule .1 mm in both the X and Y axis, meaning that any errors in the printing process will be almost undetectable to the naked eye.

Complete

Once the printer has finished following the instructions of the Gcode uploaded earlier, it will cease operation and your finished model will be ready to remove from the build surface. Remove the model from the hotbed and use as desired. This process is so simple, even children can be taught and understand the process and technology.
