Caution: 

1) The max power supply for these ramps is 12V and the max watts is about 180W. The max watts for the hotbed is about 100W and the max temperature is just 50 degree Celsius. 

2) Do not plug or unplug and wire or module when power is on, do not even touch the board when power is on or your hand has static charge(you can remove static charge by touching metal tap) . 

3) Always double check power wire is properly installed. If you do not follow above move, you may damage the control board and your 3D printer. 

4) Pls confirm the A4988 driver install correctly on Ramps1.4 board. 

5) The endstop pins are Signal-GND-VCC, instead of VCC-Signal-GND like the rest of RepRaps boards. Make sure to wire them correctly. This is done to allow squeezing fatter traces on the printable board.

6) Don't secure Arduino/Ramps with conductive screws through both mounting holes. The screw may cut into the positive trace creating a HIGH current short.

7) Test all electronics thoroughly before placing into service.

8) Do not leave power supplied to electronics unattended, or run machines unattended due to the risk of fire and malfunction.

9) Once you start putting electricity into your RepRap - even at just 12 volts - you have to take basic, common sense precautions to avoid fires. Just in case these fail. test your workshop smoke detector.

Answer: First I booted up with the empty card. after windows installed it, I shut my computer down and pluged in my ssd drive. then started up in cmos, to see if it was their, it was. Every thing booted fine. So i ran a speed test and found that it ran 60% slower than my 1.5 onboard sata. Even though it showed as a 6g it does not have the speed. So i now use it for my cd rom. Answer: Sorry, the two slots are NOT standard USB slots. Although, they may look similar they are not. They are both eSATA ports, a kind of USB hybrid. Used to connect external drives. They are faster than USB or the older fire-wire. Look for an external hard drive that uses eSATA. For speed, eSATA is a huge jump over USB. It can be as fast as adding a hard drive straight into your computer.

Answer: Updating this answer for modern motherboard and more modern kernels. No, it is not plug-and-play. This card does not support AHCI specification 1.3.1, finalized in 2014, which means it will not work with most modern motherboards, or at least fully. WIth Linux, there is a sort of work-around though, you can set iommu=soft on the grub line (/etc/defaults/grub on Ubuntu and Debian-based). iommu=soft tells the kernel to ignore some of the ATA errors that result due to the failed AHCI commands. Still, if you want a fully working card in modern Linux and hardware, this is not it. Look at LSI.

Answer: I don't know about High Sierra, but I believe it should. This card is working great on a Mac Pro 2010 with the latest firmwares using Mojave OS. Speeds are around 300 Mb/sec. One caveat though, if you connect more than one device to the usb port, the speed decreases.

Answer: Mine came with one for Cura on the SD card. On the card in the "2.Software and USB Driver\CURA\Cura3.4.1" directory there is a file named creality_Ender5.def.json. I installed the newest Cura (3.6 as of writing this) and copied the file to "C:\Program Files\Ultimaker Cura 3.6\resources\definitions" (if you're using windows, v3.6, and the default install location) and the profile for the Creality Ender-5 was there to select when I started Cura.

Answer: if you are using Marlin, you need to define the display correctly and include the display library. If you think you have that right in the firmware, try switching the cables. If you have them backwards, the display will take two to three seconds for the backlight to turn on but you will get a blank screen. Power down, switch them, and power back up. If your backlight comes on almost immediately but the display is still blank, you have the cables right need to fix something in the firmware.
