Answer:	I'm sure it could. I use it for my sponge and scrubbing brush but it is sturdy enough to hold silverware and the drain tray would catch any excess water drips.

Answer:	No water. Just soap. When you need to use it - press down and the soap is welll enough for your dishes. I fill mine with soap just to where I can see it below the white divider.

Answer:	Yep. Cap stays closed. Screws on very tight on the top fill end (which won't be facing down much anyhow as long as you are using it correctly and holding it upright). The other end, where the soap comes out has a rubber purge valve that works well. Only when you push down on the handle, will the soap come out. Do yourself a favor, and get the holder for it. Nice add-on that is worth it.
Question:	how many ounces of detergent fit into dispenser
Answer:	I've never measured it, but it's the usual for this type of brush. I'd guess about 1/3 cup.

Dear customer,   Yohom ktichen sink caddy is made of ABS plastic. The maximum heat resistance temperature is 120℃, and the melting point is above 180℃. ABS plastic cannot be disinfected by high temperature for a long time, although the highest washing temperature of dishwasher is about 70℃, we do not recommend long-term use of dishwasher.
