Answer: Mine came with a 50-foot, orange extension cord that is removable if you prefer a shorter cord. It is NOT attached to the vacuum innards. That cord is only about 8 to 12 inches long. The cord is held together with a rubber loop connector that prevents it from pulling apart. I do not know what kind of cubic foot per minute (CFM) the vacuum produces, but it's adequate for my wood floors. The Hoover motor is a 120-volt, 60 HZ, 8.5 amp motor. If my high school physics memory is correct, volts X amps equals watts, so it's a 1,020 watt motor. While vacuuming, I also use an FM radio/MP3 Player noise-canceling headset I got for Christmas last year. It came from Home Depot for $29. It works fine and protects my hearing. I use it when blowing leaves, power spraying, operating my table and miter saws, etc. Hope this helps.

Answer: I've used it alone. If you do that, however, I would recommend changing the bag out after 3 or 4 uses. I believe it is intended to be used with the cloth bag, but I have used it by itself.

Answer: Use both. The paper filter goes right over it. I did stop using the paper filters though. You do lose a bit of suction with them. I would recommend just buying a few cloth filters

Answer: The symbol on the bottom is a 5, indicating it is safe. 3, 6, and 7 are unsafe. That's the best I can do.

Answer: I don’t know the quality of Glad of Ziplock storage containers unless you are referring to the bags, but these are more or less like Tupperware products, but better. The clear, plastic bottoms are clear, hard and very sturdy. The tops fit very snugly and allow you to ‘burp’ them’ as do Tupperware does but are better made. The hard clear plastic containers are easy to identify what you have stored inside them where Tupperware as I remember them were not translucent and you had to open them to see the contents or label them to let you know the contents and storage date. Overall, these are simply the best money can buy. These are nine (9) cups in size and are very large. The make other sizes that are smaller and maybe larger to fit your needs. Personally, whenever my wife or I need a storage container, these are the ones we buy, without question.

Answer: I don't think the vac should ever put off so much heat that it concerns you. Since it does, I'd contact the manufacturer for a possible defect. I know these Hoovers inside and out having used them for over 20yrs - I've never had one get hot. The portable cover should, in my opinion, be used only as a convenience for carrying tools and the waiste strap.

Answer: I can't say for sure, but I am a small woman 76 years old, weigh 105 pounds and I clean upstairs and downstairs carrying this vacum cleaner in a couple hours and it doesn't feel heavy to me, nor do I have any aches and pains from vacuuming. This vacuum cleaner is powerful and so wonderful.

Answer: I've not had that problem. However, I did realize I couldn't get a good seal until I pressed the lid fully in place at each corner before engaging the locking mechanisms. Don't know if that will help your situation because I don't recall mine popping open.

Answer: These are great in the microwave. Perfect to take to the office for lunch. However, after several trips through the dishwasher, these develop cracks along the bottom edges where the container starts to curve up. They aren't quite as leak-proof after this point, but still useful for a lot of foods.

Question: What is the warranty for this lithium ion battery
Answer: No warranty on the battery is what I was told today at the Hoover website chat representative. I have 2 batteries, 3 and 4 months old - 1 is going strong, the other is dead. I guess if you get one that quickly dies, just out of luck!
