It all depends on what you are going to wrap the Velcro straps around. Let's say you have a 6"x2" armrest and you want to put a book and a couple of remotes in there (lots of room for more). You will from time to time have to readjust the straps. I don't expect it will just fall off but it will sag. That being said this is a good product and worth the money and if it didn't depend on Velcro it would be perfect.

Installation steps: 

To Use an Open Top Laundry Hamper or Storage Bag: 

1.Unfold the bag and the side roods so they are fully extended 

2.Open up the bag and insert the rods into the pockets on the inside wall of the bag 

3.Turn the top of the bag over until level with the top of rods to form a collar 

To Close The Bag: 

1.Unfold the collar so the bag is at it’s full height 

2.Bring the sides of the bag together and roll the top over 

3 times 3.Buckle the ends of the strap together to keep the bag closed 

Washing Tips:Wipe clean only. Do not use abrasive cleaner.Do not use washing machine to clean the bag which will damage the waterproof coating.
