Answer:	Hi there, The pH of our bar soaps is 10.4. All bar soaps are alkaline. Generally the more alkaline they are, the more effectively they clean, however higher alkalinity is also associated with that squeaky clean feeling (oils being stripped from the skin *not good) Conventional bar soap is actually solid detergent and is usually close to 12pH which is exponentially higher in alkalinity than our bars. However, the Deep Cleansing bar was reformulated to be more friendly for sensitive skin (https://store-dg79g.mybigcommerce.com/discover-cetaphil/bar-soap-faq/). Their website recommends the Deep Cleansing bar for Normal Skin, and the Gentle Cleansing Bar is recommended or Dry, Very Dry, and/or Sensitive Skin. I think I might try the deep cleansing one, since they removed triclosan and triclocarbon, ingredients that may have been responsible for my no longer active eczema. Answer:	I would advise NOT to do that. Firstly, the "original fresh scent" IS a scented product, which means it has an unnecessary additive. I would not use the unscented soap, either. These soaps are only for topical use on the skin and possibly hair. Google "non-toxic homemade vegetable and fruit wash" for easy, quick, cheap ways to safely clean produce. You'll likely find many pages which advise using a 50-50 mix of water and white vinegar.

After a tremendous amount of research we believe that finding a certified sustainable palm oil source will be the best way to commit to our environmentally friendly ideals. This way we can be assured the oil we are using is being cultivated in the most sustainable way with as minimal damage to the eco-system as possible. We have currently put production on hold until we find a suitable, trusted and certified supplier of sustainable palm oil. Understandably this will take some time as we must ensure our quality control is maintained.
