Answer:	It's been awhile but I'll do my best. There are two wood L brackets that get mounted using 2 screws with the L facing up. Spread the brackets apart so you hit a stud with the screws or use screw anchors. On the back of the shelf is a slot that the shelf will slide over the brackets. The partof the bracket pointing up will catch an edge just inside the shelf's slot. I did an extra step to make the shelf fit tight against the wall. I drilled a small hole 1/8 inch or less thru the top of the shelf where the brackets are. While pushing against the shelf I put a black wood screw thru the hole in the shelf top into the bracket.
