Answer:	The advantage for us is convenience, I have a vacuum canister, and found myself not taking the machine out to vac seal, it was a hassle. The reason I am sold on the Gator we can't tell the difference between vac seal and this. If your storing for extended periods of time then possibly the vac seal might be a better choice.
Question:	What is the size of the large coffee gator canister
Answer:	This half kelo canister will hold AROUND 1 pound of coffee. The weight of coffee varies according to what roast it is, the lighter weight being the darkest roast. Also the type of bean will make a difference too with peaberry and small beaned varieties occupying the least space per pound. So while not exact you can expect this large canister to hold between 15 ounces and 18 ounces of whole coffee beans and slightly less of ground beans.
Question:	Do you keep can in refrigerator
Answer:	No! Never! The seller’s response is the best. Refrigerated coffee will taste horrible - absolutely horrific. Since coffee is hygroscopic, it should be stored in an opaque, air-tight container at room temperature, such as this Coffee Gator Canister. This includes ground coffee (mmm... yeah; I try to stay away from that stuff) and fresh-roasted beans. I strongly recommend fresh-roasted beans from a reputable roaster and recommend putting beans from an open package in your Gator Canister - you should only open a bean package that you will drink in one week... you can check with independent roasters to see if they can supply you with more or less beans should you need them. 16-ounces (one pound) is perfect for me.

Answer:	The Airscape only has an air valve. When you push it down it let’s the excess air escape along with any co2. There is no separate co2 valve as it is not needed. Coffee off gasses when it’s been freshly roasted. The simple act of taking some coffee out of the container allows any small traces of co2 to be released. So a separate valve would be unnecessary. Answer:	The kilo size Airscape is made of galvanized steel with an FDA approved coat of paint inside and out.

• Twist To Remove - Twist the lid back and forth to remove air from the inside. The integrated pump means no more hunting down a separate piece. To open the canister, just press down on the button on the top of the lid and hear the air rush back into Atmos as the pressure equalizes
• Vacuum Lock Indicator - Watch the dot drop to reveal a green ring. The vacuum is now locked to prevent oxidation and extend the shelf life of your coffee. The vacuum lock indicator drops once 0.7 atmosphere of pressure has been achieved inside of the canister. If you continue to engage the lid to pull more air out, it can drop down to as low as 0.5 atmosphere
• Easy Release Button - When the contents are calling your name, press the button on the lid to unlock and bring the air pressure back to normal. .4 L canister holds up to 6 oz of coffee beans, .7 L canister holds up to 10 oz of coffee beans, and 1.2 L canister holds up to 16 oz of coffee beans. We measured using light and medium roast coffees. Dark roast coffees are less dense and take up more volume than light and medium roast coffees
• Vacuum Seal Duration - Nothing lasts forever - when left unopened Atmos' seal will keep air out for around a week in-between brews. For daily/weekly use, Atmos will extend your coffee's shelf life up to 50% and prevent unwanted moisture and odors

Step 1: Twist The Lid

Atmos has an integrated vacuum pump built right into the lid. That means no more hunting down a separate piece. The vacuum magic is all in the lid! To use Atmos, twist the outer ring of the lid back and forth to remove air from the inside. With every twist of the lid, more air is being pulled out of Atmos. The amount of twists needed to achieve a vacuum will depend on the size of your Atmos, as well as how full or empty it is. If you have an empty Large Atmos, it will take more turns than a full Small Atmos. It all just depends on how much air is in your Atmos!

Step 2: Keep It Fresh

Once you've achieved a vacuum inside Atmos, watch the vacuum lock indicator drop to reveal a green ring. The vacuum is now locked to prevent oxidation and extend the shelf life of your coffee and other pantry items. The vacuum lock indicator is designed to drop once an interior pressure of 0.7 atmosphere has been achieved. More air can still be vacuumed out of Atmos after the indicator has dropped, but you will start to feel more resistance as you twist the lid.

Step 3: Press To Release

When the contents are calling your name, press the button located on the center of the top of the lid to unlock and bring the air pressure back to normal. You should hear a whooshing noise as the pressure equalizes. Once the pressure is back to normal, just pull the lid off of the top of Atmos to access what's inside. Once you have your coffee beans or other pantry items, don't forget to put the lid back on and make sure to give it a couple of twists to keep everything fresh.
