Answer:	I would have to say it depends on the size of paper towels you buy. The fins are the same distance from the center and they should not touch the towels in most cases. We have never had a return for damage because we inspect each one and pack them in sturdy boxes with a great amount of care and cushioning before sending them to Amazon's warehouses.

Answer:	Not sure. The adhesive strip was VERY strong. Only had it hanging up for no more than 2 months and when I moved out, I tried to reclaim the strip. I removed a couple of layers of paint from my apartment wall. Guess if it's not any bigger than a roll of paper towels it should hold.
