Question:	Difference between manual and digital
Answer:	Yes. There is a sponge filter that wraps around the water intake. The filter is reusable (It's a black sponge material that fits around the bottom, in between the black base and the white pump in the picture.) and should be checked about every hour. (I usually pull the filter off, rinse it in the lake by hand, and re-install.) I recommend the pump to everyone. I installed it in a 30 gal cooler and hook it up to my deep cycle battery. I have had over 30 fish in the cooler and they were alive all day in the boat and if you keep the pump going on your ride home, the fish are all alive when you get home.
Question:	What are the exact inside dimensions of the basket? I want to order a rack but want to be sure it will fit first
Answer:	Since motor runs on 12V DC, I would say motor wattage should be fairly low (my guest is about 1/3 to 1/2 of an amp). Though, it depends on your solar panel ... how much energy can it absorb and how big is the battery can store.

Question:	Which size do i buy for two people
Answer:	You can call the company - an actual (nice) human answers the phone! - and they'll send you a replacement. I've had this product for years and that piece went missing or broke years ago and I use it without it. Sometimes it's annoying because the filter slips out, but you can lodge the filter into place and most of the time it stays put.
Question:	How do you clean
Answer:	I've had my EcoCrock since May 2013. The insert and exterior still look like new. I detect no odor or discoloration. We put a folded paper towel on the bottom of the insert to make sure all the contents come out easily. Very happy with this so far.
Question:	Can I use a beer batter or cook anything that's been dipped in a wet batter
Answer:	we purchased this in August of 2020. I place half a paper towel in the bottom when empty and I've never changed or bought new filters. I rinse the filter off if it has any mildew on it and hang it to dry from a magnetic clip on my fridge, have never had maggots, and have had it filled to the brim with compostable stuff. The charcoal will sprinkle out of the filter when you rinse it, but that's not a big deal. We have compost picked up once a week from a Nashville company so we deposit our great little bin into a bigger bin we keep near our kitchen trash can. That gets stinky so we've got a system down for expediency with opening that baby up. This is a great container. Attractive, easy to use and clean if you use it regularly like we do.
