Answer:	Like any other return air filter even in your home, it depends on how much you use it and how dirty the air is that you are filtering. Mist other people commented about 6 months, I am on my 2nd camping season. So it depends on usage.

Question:	how many ounces liquid does it hold
Answer:	I don't see any reason why you could not wash this in the dishwasher. I would certainly first, rinse it out and then use the brush that comes with it to make sure that nothing is stuck in there or just a good rinsing, then stand on end. I think just to make sure, I probably wouldn't put the rubber bulb in there, just a good rinsing in soapy water. Other than that, this is very easy to clean and take care of, and whichever way you choose, you can be sure this will be clean and no residue is left like the plastic basters of old.
Question:	could you use this this for grease in ground beef
Answer:	No worry, it is BPA free, I have had one for years and the bulb does not react with food, unlike basters with the rubber bulb.
Question:	The description says it is 11.5" from bulb to the tip. Does that include the bulb or is it the length of just the tube where it meets the bulb
Answer:	Yes, but not nearly as badly as other basters I have owned. IMO dripping is a function of several factors. This baster has a silicone bulb that fits quite snugly to the metal tube so there is no air leak which would allow a baster to drip or dribble slowly. Also hot liquid in the tube will heat whatever air is still in the tube/bulb AND THAT AIR WILL EXPAND... the expanding air will tend to PUSH LIQUID OUT causing drips. However, all that said, once the METAL TUBE and air inside the tube/bulb is hot, there will probably be far fewer drips than any other baster you have ever used. This is BY FAR the best baster I've ever used for transfer of large quantities of pan juices from roasts or turkeys.
Question:	Okay am I crazy or does the black tip come off VERY easily? I'm talking nudge it with my pinky and it falls off, the beveled tip piece I mean
Answer:	Yes, I use it for my saltwater tank. I’d buy a better one though as this one leaks around the bulb every time I use it.

Answer:	I use it to remove grease when browning ground beef. I don't know what the temperature of the grease is, but I've never had a problem.

Answer:	The clear plastic part is 9-1/8", the bulb is 2-7/8", overall it is 12" long.

Answer:	The biggest problem with that use would be that you have to be quick before the candy cools and will no longer run out. It's made dishwasher safe (top shelf) which suggests a limit of around 60C for an hour, but using it for gravy requires it to handle up to about 100C. If your candy is not hotter than 100C then as long as you're quick it would work and you would need to be prepared for a time consuming cleanup.
Question:	What is the outer diameter of the glass tube? I'd like to insert it in a redline SI-1 bottle if possible. Thanks
Answer:	My memory says that it isn't, although I don't remember 100%. The actual baster doesn't indicate the country of origin. I believe the packaging does, but I've long since thrown mine away.

Answer:	Kennith, you aren't crazy, it just took you a bit to realize, like it did me, we broke the tip off. If im correct, you would have the tip of the tip falling off, while the threaded part of remainder of tip, is still in place, inside the basting tube.

Answer:	It actually picks up a lot , I love it the only baster I have ever had that will not drip , you have to wait and not rush it let it settle first but it does hold a lot , not sure of the ounces it is the size of a normal baster but since it holds the liquid it gathers more then the ones in the store.

Answer:	If the liquid is hot enough to burn your hand, in my experience it would be hot enough to melt and warp the plastic tube. I wouldn't use this on really hot liquids.
