Answer:	The bed is offered as a flat bed and also as a flat bed with bolster sides. In the drop down menu the flat beds with sides are indicated with the word 'sides' in the product name.

Answer:	No. I purchased this bed for that reason, and it was not waterproof. The inner foam pad was soiled, and I had to throw the whole thing out. Furthermore, the company would not replace it or refund my payment since I only noticed it was not waterproof after cleaning it a few months later, and it was outside the return period.
