Answer:	The holes are pretty small. I've rinsed quinoa, but can't see why it wouldn't work at all. I love mine!

Answer:	Well I have no idea. I rarely look anymore as most things we use are made in China. However, I find that American made products generally advertise that they're American made so going by that logic I'd say it's most likely made in china. It is a very high quality strainer and very convenient. I'm happy with it
