Answer:	Yes you can, but make sure your can has the correct rim around the top to connect to the torch before cutting.

Answer:	The torch has both metal and plastic parts. The barrel from which the flame exits is stainless steel as are the working parts of the burner where the flame is. The external parts of the trigger and controls are plastic but I expect the inside parts are metal. Mine works very well and the plastic parts are sturdy and well made.

Answer:	I haven't measured this specific torch, but most "consumer" Butane torches put out between 2400 and 2600 °F. The maximum temperature of burning butane under ideal conditions is 1970 °C / 3578 °F. It can go even higher if with added oxygen, but this torch can't do that. It puts out plenty of heat for caramelizing sugar, searing meats, soldering (though the flame is too wide for precision work), jewelry, and heat shrinking tubing, this sort of thing. However, if you wanted to braze metals or solder copper pipes, you'd probably be better off working with a propane or MAPP gas torch.

Answer:	Hello,I replaced my stainless steel ladles with this one so that I would not chip-off some of the anodized aluminum on some earlier pots, when I scraped the pan or pot. These have never bent or been inferior to the stainless. With the advantage they do not harm the surface of the pot/pan.
