Answer:	Hi Mindi. I have not had a problem with mine whistling. I'm wondering, since it was boiling over, perhaps there was too much water, and the water boiling out of the spout prevented it from whistling. I think I mighttry it with a smaller volume of water to see if the steam will rise to whistle. If not, I believe I would exchange it for a new one.

Question:	What is the inside made of
Answer:	Capacity is about 6 cups of water I just measured with the measuring cup but I would only put in 4 cups because the way the spout is situated if you put too much water in it will leak through the lid when pouring the spout probably could've been up a bit higher ... You have to pour it really slow for it to not leak and again it's just the design. I'm also noticing after using it for a couple of weeks that time of the copper is a different color in certain spots I'm not sure if that's normal or not but I love it it's a pretty little pot and it works really well and it heats the water really well It's small and dainty but for one or two people it's plenty

Answer:	Yes, it does. To remove the coating, boil a solution of baking soda water in the kettle for about 20 minutes. Use a soft nylon cloth and soapy water to wipe it clean of the remaining lacquer. If you can submerge your kettle in a larger pot of boiling water, you can easily remove the lacquer from the outside too. Be careful not to damage the handle of the kettle. You can also use lacquer thinner available at most hardware stores. Just wipe it off using a soft clothe and then clean your kettle with soapy hot water.In both instances, followup with copper cleaner for best results.Good luck! :)
