They do not personally test on animals, but they sell products in countries like China that require testing on animals and as such cannot be considered cruelty-free by organizations like Peta or Leaping Bunny. Answer:	I'm in this same age range and in the AM I start with the CeraVe hydrating facial cleanser, then apply their vitamin c serum, or hyaluronic acid serum. I finish with the CeraVe moisturizing cream in the tub on my face and neck. In the PM I use the same cleanser followed by their retinol serum (3-4 times per week only), then the same moisturizer. If you want a lighter moisturizer, use the PM nighttime lotion. So far this routine is working very well for my skin. I was using high end products that had fragrance in them which over time I developed a sensitivity to and ultimately turned my face red and extremely dry. CeraVe saved my skin. Hope this helps. :)

Question:	Who is the manufacturer
Answer:	Ostensibly the original developer was Bayer in Germany. They had two items come to development at the same time: hyaluronic acid and interferon. They did not have the money to bring both to market as it costs a minimum of four billion bucks to get the testing done for FDA certification. At the time interferon was seen as a specific for cancer and hyaluronic acid as a wound healer. So they sold the "usage" of it to a physician who used it to develop an anti-aging face product. I discovered on my own, after I found out from my vet that hyaluronic acid is used by vets and some doctors as a joint specific med. You cannot take it internally, but it is injected in animals especially race horses and humans into the joints. It is called Adequin I think that is how you spell it. When I asked my vet what Adequin was he said hyaluronic acid and I told him I had been using it for over 30 years on my face and on wounds. He said that hyaluronic acid forms a matrix for cells to adhere to and it promotes healing. So, literally, I use it on everything, wounds, burns, sunburns, anti-aging etc. It does NOT work as a supplement. It only works when applied directly to the skin or joints. So, it is produced under "drug manufacturing conditions" and the one place that I use constantly when I need some of their other products is "Ashley of Beverly Hills" and it is produced in Houston. If you are concerned about quality control, I know it is NOT produced in Mexico or China. I would NEVER use any product from either country. I hope this helps.

Normally I never use Petroleum jelly on my face - I'm in my 60's and never broke out in my teens so I was doing something right. I was told it clogs pores, but now I'm being directed to use my favorite moisturizer, which is German Nivia cream (Smallflower dot com, and then a find coating of pharmaceutical grade white petroleum jelly. Answer:	Hi, I use the HA for its moisture-retaining properties to help plump up my skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines. I will first apply any nourishing vitamin serums (such as vitamin C, etc.) on my clean skin. I like that they are directly absorbed. Next, I use the HA serum, and then finally a face lotion on top of that. Seems like a lot of 'layering' but it's barely detectable. The HA serum will absorb the moisturizer I put on top of it. BTW, my face lotion includes SPF 30. I've tried a half dozen HA brands, and this Amara is by far my favorite. It doesn't feel sticky and it blends well with the other products I use. I really enjoy the pump dispenser. You use what you need while the remaining serum stays untouched, so no oxidation from repeated exposure to air, and no bacterial build-up from fingers or droppers in and out of the bottle.
