Answer:	The seat goes down quite far but not as low as a standard chair.

Now I will say that there’s a a little wheel/cog that needs to be tightened down after you raise or lower the seat or the seat itself does feel a little wobbly. But for the price I can deal with that. Other than that I’ve seen no negative issue with these stools.
