Answer:	I just recently bought a set as a gift so I have not opened it but I have a very similar set and it is very easy to clean. They are like stainless steel so there is nothing on them after use other than shells and juice so a quick rinse in soapy water is all that is necessary.

Answer:	Only ever used it to melt butter for lobster tails. Since it’s a low and slow heating up process using a small votive candle, I think it could slowly melt cheese and chocolate.
