Answer:	Yes. There is a remote that allows you to run the heater when you want. I live in Florida and rarely use the heater, however use the fireplace daily.

Answer:	Dear customer, the viewing size for 36'' electric fireplace is 26.57'' x 8.66'' (675mm x 220mm).
Question:	How many squre feet will this heat
Answer:	Yes, actually it's a big problem if you're going to put this in-wall. In a 2x4 wall it will hang out about 2" which looks rediculous but does leave the switch accessible. In a 2.6 wall it still sticks out about 1/2" which lines the switch up directly with the front wall. I was planning to tile around the opening but I've got this weird switch problem that I'm not sure what I'm going to do with. Probably have to leave it hanging a full inch out of the opening which as I already stated looks rediculously cheesy. This is one of several bad design decisions with this unit.

Answer:	Wouldn’t count on it as a primary source of heat. Very nice as a supplement. Heats the living area of our 5th wheel trailer. A lot of factors would have to be considered as far as square footage.
