Answer:	Yes. Fits the same on the bottom pot as if on top of the steamer itself. For if you want to keep what you cooked in the pot with the lid on

Answer:	There are approximately 3 inches between the bottom of the sieve insert and the bottom of the pan that holds the water. So you can have less than three inches of water in the pan before touching the bottom of the sieve. It depends how much you want to steam but I usually put in a little over 1.5 inches of water in the pan which leaves a little less than 1.5 inches space between the water level and the bottom of the sieve.
Question:	What are measurements of steamer basket especially the depth

Answer:	it's to allow some steam and air pressure to escape the pot. it's basically a safety feature that prevents the pressure created by the steam and the boiling water from over-pressurizing the pot. without it at worst the lid would blow off the top or at best rattle around on top of it. but with it your food gets steamed and none of the problems already mentioned will happen unless it gets blocked in some way. hope this helped a little and as always, please have a good day.

Answer:	A 8 or 10 gallon pot should be fine.

Answer:	The basket just pulls out. Try putting a little pressure on the sides while pulling up on the basket.

Answer:	Not really. bottom part would not be enough room to cook rice unless you don't mind the water/rice bubbling and cooking up towards top steamer part.

This stock pot includes a strainer basket which stands 1.5” above the bottom of the pot, making it work as a boiling pot, deep fryer, and steamer pot.

Works great to steam seafood such as shrimp, crawfish, lobster or crab legs. Leaving the shells on when steaming, gives them a little insulation from the direct heat. Steaming will let them cook a bit slower, which results in a tastier and more tender meat.

As a deep frying pot, it has enough space for chicken, duck and turkey. Just take the straining basket out of pot when ready.

Answer:	Hi, Bottom is single ply, same thickness as the side walls. Generally this kettle is used for steaming and boiling, so having a triply bottom is not necessary for its intended purposes. Thank you
Question:	How much crawfish can you boil at a time
Answer:	I am unsure of the gauge. Don't hesitate to buy it though. I was worried it might be paper thin and be as fragile as my aluminum. Don't worry. The pot and basket together are probably 15 to 20 pounds. I dropped mine taking it out of the truck. It sounded like a church bell ringing but didn't have a scratch on it.
Question:	Is the bottom of the pot thicker than the walls
