Answer:	It measures almost 20x6x5.5 I have only used it to poach beef tenderloin ( which requires that the tenderloin be completely covered with clarified butter. But I would imagine if you do fish you would want to bring the liquid up no further than half the thickness of the fish ( traditional for poaching fish) if you add liquid to under the insert then you are steaming the fish and not poaching.

Answer:	I'm not sure but they probable think it might stain the stainless. I put mine in the dishwasher and it's fine, just awkward size and shape. It's not thick stainless like the AllClad cookware but I sure find it handy

Question:	Can I use this vegetable roaster in the oven
Answer:	Fish is handled the same way you wowuld with other cooking utensils. FOr example, if you are doing it in the oven, add a small amount of liquid in the pod, then place the fish on top, close the pod, and bake in a preheated oven for 10 minutes per inch at 350 degrees. SO, if your fish is 1/2 inch thick. you would bake it for only 5 minutes. In the microwave, you prepare the fish the same way, but how long you cook it for depends not only on the thickness of the fish, but on the properties of the individual microwave. Thin slices, in a powerful microwave may be done in 1-2 minutes, while thicker pieces in a low power microwave may take 5-6 minutes. Susan
