I wouldn't mix it with the coffee grind since it'll mess up the brewing process. I actually put them in the top chamber so that when you are ready to press down the milk and sugar are already there. Side note: I wasn't sure if adding sugar directly into the chamber was going to obstruct or damage the filter/press so I mix the milk and sugar first. Or I add the sugar once the coffee is pressed so the sugar can melt. |

I do this often, and it works like a charm every time! The trick is to get the pan hotter than you think you need. Cooks the eggs very quickly and non-stick. Have a plate ready to transfer the eggs to quickly. |

Answer: | Not ceramic, more like the Teflon non - stick coating. As my review of this product says, the coating is good as long as you do not use high heat. But that is true of the ceramics also. I ruined two ceramic lined pans when I fried sausage on high heat. Just keep it to medium and your non - stick properties will stay intact. |

Answer: | The pan is 2 1/8" deep with nicely sloped sides for easy flipping and turning. It is just a tad short of 12" inside diameter. I find it much less restrictive than a 10" pan. The extra diameter is well worth the few extra dollars. |

Answer: | The 3-qt saute pan has a bowl-shaped bottom. That is, it will spin on a ceramic-topped stove. We've had that particular piece from this set replaced three times, and all of them have been shaped like that. Calphalon Customer Service said that all of their 3-qt saute pans are shaped like this. (Replaced: The first set we received was used, or at best a display model. The second set had the bowl-shaped 3 qt saute pan, it was replaced with another one that was also bowl-shaped, but also had a handle that had not been riveted on properly. The replacement for that one is also bowl-shaped, but also is not from this set at all.) |
