Answer:	The lid is not glass, it’s a polycarbonate, so no the lid is not oven safe. Also, the locks are not on the lid, they are attached to the pot. They appear to be polycarbonate as well.

Answer:	Yes. I have an old school electric stove and it works great. I love this pot. It's my new favorite.

Answer:	It's a medium size pan, probably 5 quarts. You could cook a good amount of pasta in it but not a large batch. The only thing I don't like about this pan is that it is so rough on the bottom, it damaged my smooth cooktop really bad.

Answer:	Yes, I t is oval. And I would recommend a silicone steamer insert. More likely to fit, and won't scratch non stick interior of pot.

Answer:	I went to the Bialetti web site which stated the company originated in Italy in 1919 and is still in business today. However, I couldn't find any mention of where the pots are actually manufactured.

Answer:	They have screws that can be tightened. The problem I had is the lid handle kept coming unscrewed. Then the tab that keeps it from turning broke off. Trying to find a replacement. I love the pot, hate the plastic.

Answer:	Yes, there are holes in the bottom and it works great for larger quantities so it doesn't boil over as easy as the traditional smaller ones.
Question:	Could you cook a pound of spaghetti in the strainer basket
Answer:	You can fit more than a pound. I've cooked two to three pounds at one time in the large strainer. The small one is only for streaming.

Answer:	The box says "Made and printed in China." So I assume box and pot came from China. I like to buy U.S products when available but fewer and fewer are manufactured here. Cheers!
Question:	When the insert is in place, what is the distance between the bottom of the insert and the bottom of the pot
Answer:	The pot is 9" deep. The steamer insert is 3" deep. The pasta insert hangs only 7" deep into the pot. The pasta insert is 9 1/2" deep, so there is 2 1/2" of the insert above the top edge of the pot. The pot is 10" diameter.

Question:	The pasta insert doesn't fit snugly. The pasta water bubbles up between the insert and the pot so can't rapidly boil. Any help? Return
Answer:	I had the same problem and realized I was using too much water. Like others, I would use less water. However, I think you need to put the insert in when you are adding water to the pot. If you bring water to a boil then add the insert and food, the water level may rise too high which is probably causing it to bubble over. That’s my two cents.
