Answer:	Depends on your current level of fitness; since you are asking, I'm assuming that your level is on the beginner side so I would suggest anywhere from 8 - 12 pounds. I personally have the 12 and get more than enough stress with that weight, though my fitness level is not that of a beginner.

Answer:	I have a Sure SLX receiver, antenna and power supply, wireless lapel mike and transmitter, and a 6 ft microphone cable in the case. To keep the receiver at the level of the foam I cut the foam horizontally in half. This allow creating a smaller apace beneath the receiver to hold the microphone cable.
