Answer:	It will not shut off and if it is removed from a liquid and remains plugged in, it will burn out very quickly, you will smell a burning metal and plastic smell within a few minutes as it self destructs.

Answer:	I would not advise that!!! The heater warmer needs a 120 V outlet. Your car battery is 12 V. This is a big difference in power. In addition, you defeat the safety feature of the product.

Answer:	If sold in California - yes, EVERYTHING that you ingest that isn't non-GMO has a cancer warning. But, relax, you're just heating water with it - you'll burn your house down long before you will die of cancer from this thing.

Answer:	For getting the water hot enough for tea or hot chocolate it took me less than 2 minutes. I didn't wait long enough to see if it comes to a rolling boil but 2 minutes is perfect and still hot enough that you have to wait little bit before you can drink it.

Question:	Can I use this to heat water in quart sized mason jars
Answer:	This is not an adhesive product so it won't bond anything together. I't designed as a "filler" as in body filler. I've used it to fill in gaps on wood or repairing termite damage.
Question:	Can this be operated for extended periods totally immersed (including the plastic head and some wire), with the water near boiling temperature
Answer:	To fill a rust rot section, you first need to use a sander or a drill with a sanding disk to clean up the underside. You say there is no metal. Metal will begin to appear somewhere. So you've got to sand away the dirt and rust until you see metal. That's your starting point. Depending on how serious you are about body work, you then need to build a patch larger than the rot hole. You can buy an aluminum patch with adhesive or you can pop rivet the patch in place. With this done, examine the exterior and visualize the contour you are trying to rebuild. Your under patch is only a base for the Bondo. Do a light sanding only in the area around the rot hole so you see the metal. Use a rattle can primer, I like the gray, and cover the interior completely. (you've cut off the rivet stems when you applied them.) Tape off the exterior extending the masking with news paper beyond the area so you don't screw up the nice finish whatever color.with primer spray. Then cover the exterior rot hole with the primer including the patch. Use a coffee can to mix up your batch of Bondo. You want to do this in a warm temperature environment. Mixing: pull a nice blob of gray epoxy Bondo onto the coffee can. Take the rusty colored hardener in the tube and add just a bit the gray blob and mix with a pop icicle stick until a uniform color. This sets up quickly depending on the temperature. Have a clean putty knife handy and begin to apply the mixture. Approximate, or sculpt, the contour you are attempting to restore. Once your Bondo is pressed tightly into the patch and surrounding seam and over the exterior right up to your masking edge. Stop. A layer of Bondo should be spread over the underside patch also. Let it cure for several hours. Now you have rebuilt a solid surface that you can begin the long contour shaping and sanding process that should pick up the contour line you wish to restore. Sanding with grades is a skill. Once finished prime several times and allow an overnight cure. If satisfied pick up a can of the stock color at Pep Boys and apply several coats, blending edges with the pro finish. Pro bodywork is a long expensive process but very satisfying especially if your restoring something of value. You can learn-actually teach yourself- the skill using YT tutorials. Be patient. Answer:	I think the warming plate gets up to about 180F per the readout. Whatever the temperature actually is my tea stays very hot. Not hot enough to burn my lips or mouth, but hot enough to feel freshly made. If I leave it on the warming plate for a while when there is only about half and inch of beverage left it does get a little too hot to drink comfortably though, but that’s to be expected. I bet if I turned the temp down when I’m nearing the end of my tea it would be just fine.

Speaking of handles, the handle doesn't get warm and I typically lift the pot up from the base while the water is at a hard boil. It does not whistle, but if you're in the room you'll hear the gentle rumbling of the water when it reaches boiling. if you're out of the room you won't hear it. Which doesn't matter because it has an automatic power-off after a few seconds of full boil. As you may be able to tell, I love this kettle - it's pretty and lightweight and the water never touches plastic. Have had it for several weeks and use several times a day.

Answer:	There are 12v water kettles, but the won’t do a 3 minute boil (which is why I’m looking at these). They come with a plug on end that works with car’s 12v socket, or can be plugged into a battery power station like a Jackery.

Answer:	If your safety question was regarding the materials used, I get it! While some tea kettles are only stainless steel on the exterior with “a nonreactive interior that is corrosion proof”, this tea kettle is lined with stainless steel on the interior, too. I prefer this to prevent any metals from leaching out into the boiling water.

Answer:	Dear LaDonna, Thanks so much for your purchase and for allowing us to address your concern. So about your concern, please allow me to enlighten you on why we're asking to empty the remaining water from the kettle after each use.  To be honest, a lot of people are in the habit of leaving leftover water inside the Kettle. Manufacturers often put it in fine-print to empty kettles after each use but because most people won’t read instructions they will never know :) Below are things that could happen, BUT may never happen - 1.  Stainless Steel is composed of many metals such as iron, carbon, chromium, Nickel. When water comes in contact with these metals some oxidization may occur which may for some people change the taste of water. 2. Overstayed water results in limescale buildup which maybe “mistaken” for Rust. Emptying Kettle after each use will protect and increase the durability of the appliance. For this reason, we recommend not to let water sitting inside a tea kettle overnight but it is totally up to you. I hope I have been able to answer your query. Answer:	According to the United States Department of Agriculture Food Safety and Inspection Service, at sea level, water boils at 212 °F. With each 500-feet increase in elevation, the boiling point of water is lowered by just under 1 °F. At 2,000 feet above sea level the boiling temperature of water is 208 °F instead of 212 °F. At 7,500 feet water boils at about 198 °F. Because water boils at a lower temperature at higher elevations, foods that are prepared by boiling or simmering will cook at a lower temperature, and it will take longer to cook. To compensate for the lower boiling point of water, the cooking time must be increased. Turning up the heat will not help cook food faster. No matter how high the cooking temperature, water cannot exceed its own boiling point – unless using a pressure cooker. Even if the heat is turned up, the water will simply boil away faster and whatever is being cooked will dry out faster.
