Answer:	Yes you can plug the amp directly into a wall outlet and use it like a regular amp or plug it in just long enough to charge the amp and then unplug the cord for wireless use. So you can use the amp both ways. The amp does have more power (louder) with it’s plugged in to an outlet. Also you can use a standard guitar jack to plug the guitar into the amp or I purchased a Line 6 (Yamaha) wireless adapter so no cord needed. It’s matched for this amplifier. I paid $99 for it and it recharges right in the amp then simply plug into the guitar and you are totally wireless. The Bluetooth feature let’s you play backing tracks from your phone, tablet or computer from your music app or YouTube. Hope this helps!

Answer:	Hi there. The answer is yes. Since to guitar is using a some type of pickup system which require a battery/s the Yamaha amp will work. I have done the same thing using an electro-acoustic guitar. Remember though the degree of church and or distortion is determined by two things. Answer:	It runs from batteries, but very power hungry. The mains DC adaptor is unique to Yamaha and the charge over £40 for it. My suggestion. Avoid this product and buy a small VOX battery amp like the VOX mini 3, better sound and lasts all day on one set of better use also has mains adaptor. Hope this helps people.

Answer:	I remember way back when I was in my first band. I had an ampeg B-15 and it was woefully underpowered. All I got out of it was a ton of distortion. It can be very frustrating for a new player to have to deal with poor sound. I’ve known guys who have given up playing because of the frustration of dealing with noise instead of music. I would use a 25w amp for practicing by myself but for a garage band I would go with a minimum of 100w.

Answer:	I turned mine upside down and it still worked so I suppose it will be OK down there. (On mine, input power is marked 100-120V @ 50-60 HZ, 70W.)

Answer:	I don't see why not. As long as the input is via a 1/4 inch mono plug. It is an amazing little practice amp but don't expect it to reproduce the sounds like a more powerfulamp and 12 inch speaker.

Answer:	If you are expecting any kind of real bass feel, this amp won't give it to you. I would rather spend the money on a bass-buddy, it's like a little personal guitar amp. It clips to your belt and you plug your guitar in and then slip on the headphones. For the bass, it gives you several bass setups like 'slap' or 'fretless' . If you don't want to use headphones, run the headphone jack from the bass buddy into a stereo input and you'll find a better sound.

Answer:	I would say no, too. Gigging is not what this amp is designed for. There is a larger version of this amp (THR 100) that is made for gigging, but this amp is not your best choice. From Yamaha's promotional material this is a third (THR) amp for guitarists. Not for gigging or even band practice really but mostly private practice and recording ideas. Could a person mic it to a PA system and make it louder? Yes, but that is not the sweet spot for this amp. Yet for its purpose it's a nice amp.

5 Amp Types

Whether you use pedals for your overdrive or just crank up your volume control, one great amp sound is where it all starts. Sometimes though, you want to take your sound in a new direction with something just a little different. The THR head features five distinct custom amp types from solid state through to modified high-gain, all tuned to sound amazing whether you want to get your drive from a pedal or your amp.

5 Tube Types

THR amp heads feature VCM simulation that allows you to pick from five classic tube types for any amp model with nothing more than the flick of a switch on the rear panel. You can even choose from the smooth compression, soft touch and old-school distortion of class A, or the tight bass response, greater headroom and increased dynamics of class A/B for each tube type.

Speaker Impulse Response

Any amp only sounds as good as the last link in the signal chain– and in a great sounding rig, that’s usually a cabinet and microphone. THR amp heads use impulse response speaker simulation to drive a DI tone that’s indistinguishable from a perfectly mic’d cabinet. With simulations of a range of industry-standard cabinets and mics available via a USB connection with your PC, THR amp heads give you a host of options straight out of the box.

Hi Res Direct Connectivity

THR amp heads are equipped with XLR line outputs for connection to professional recording or live sound equipment. The speaker outputs don’t even need a dummy load, so you can disconnect your speakers for silent recording or on-stage performance without having to worry about damage to your amp.

Utility Software

THR amp heads come equipped with USB functionality that lets you connect to your computer for quick and easy configuration of the on-board reverb and booster effects, switching between serial and parallel effects setups, and uploading of IR data files.

Boost Function

THR amp heads come equipped with an assignable booster that can be engaged direct from the amp or via the dedicated footswitch. With 3 incredible sounding VCM boosters, from a clean solo boost to a smooth overdrive, all selectable via the optional utility software, the THR’s boost function is ready to push your tone to the next level, right when you need it.

Footswtich Bundled

An included dedicated footswitch is available for each model, giving you the control you need at home, in the studio or on-stage. With access to boost, reverb and FX Loop functions, plus A/B/A+B switching for THR100H Dual, everything’s right where you need it. Industry-standard 5-pin DIN MIDI connectors even allow you to replace and extend the cable easily and cost-effectively.

Question:	Is this an adult size guitar? is it light
Answer:	The package says that it has a Yamaha PAC012, which I bought recently for my 10 year old daughter who is a new player. It is a full sized guitar, but not too big for a young player to start with. It is also not too heavy and its comfortable to hold. It has been a very good starter guitar for her. Question:	Does the back of the guitar also have sunburst? Or is it flat black
Answer:	The back also has sunburst. It's an exceptionally well-crafted, beautifully finished guitar.
Question:	Can you use this guitar to play music like centuries from fall out boys all the way to more than a feeling from boston
Answer:	It will do anything a Fender Stratocaster will do. More Than A Feeling used a heavily processed guitar sound, as I recall. I don't know if this type of guitar will nail that sound, but you can probably come close. The issue is going to be the effects you add. I don't know the Fall Out Boys music so I have no comment about that.
