Answer:	A regular keyboard fits on the tray with enough room for a regular-sized mousepad to the right (or left) of it. There's not much room to spare after that, but the set up is sufficient for my needs.

Answer:	Hopefully, this might help you. You are correct, cross bar is part of the frame that the top is attached to. I have no idea what the c-clamp you are referring to looks like. What I can tell you is that the cross bar is located 2.5" from the edge of the top. I presume the manufacturer placed the cross bar away from the edge so clamps could be mounted but not sure if the clamp you are referring to would fit on the 2.5"? As a side note, I really like my desk. Has tons of room on the top and is very sturdy! Good luck!

This and all the electric I have seen have this problem. Some stove top teapots do not have plastic at all and I would recommend those.

Answer:	This is about the 7th electric kettle that I have owned over 30+ years. I love it. It takes the same time to boil as all the others I've had. I have never timed it, but it is much quicker than boiling water on the stove, and my stove is gas. Being able to view the water inside the glass makes me feel it looks fresher, and the blue lights that glow while it is heating water is comforting. I have owned kettles that cost a lot more than this one, but I believe this one is my favorite. I chose the green and it is so cheerful in the kitchen.
Question:	Does the outside of the kettle get hot
Answer:	My 1.8L stainless steel and glass unit has a steel bottom. A silicon gasket is used to seal the joint between the glass and the steel base. It appears that the same type of silicone gasket is used to seal the glass rim to the stainless steel collar at the top of the unit. As long as the unit was designed and assembled properly, the existence of the silicone gasket is not a concern to me, because silicone gaskets and O-rings have a service temperature range of negative 100 degrees Fahrenheit to positive 400 degrees Fahrenheit. I did notice, however, that the stainless steel collar has surface rust on the inside of the lip, around the rim. Most, but not all, of the rust can be wiped off with a paper towel. I have to decide if I want to live with a small amount of surface rust, which does not affect functioning and which is not visible from the outside of the unit, or if I want to spend time and money researching and testing rust removers.

Answer:	This tea pot is junk. The handle gets very hot. The whistle is connect with plastic to the metal hinge and it melted and fell off within months. It's like with something that wears off over time which means it's in the water when you drink it. I've seen some that say it doesn't whistle. Mine was loud, sometimes. That's the only thing I looked about it until the whistle fell off.

Hard water is water that contains calcium or magnesium mineral ions often in the form of carbonate. How should we descale?

1. Fill the kettle with 1 cup of vinegar or lemon juice and 2 cups of water.

2. Boiling the liquids and leave it for 2 hours, then use a cloth to clean and wipe.

3. Rinse the kettle with clean water, and dry with a soft, clean cloth. 4. Repeat as needed. Note: It's normal if your kettle exposes spot or rust on the stainless steel bottom after the first use if the water quality in your area is so hard.

With each 500-feet increase in elevation, the boiling point of water is lowered by just under 1 °F. At 2,000 feet above sea level the boiling temperature of water is 208 °F instead of 212 °F. At 7,500 feet water boils at about 198 °F. Because water boils at a lower temperature at higher elevations, foods that are prepared by boiling or simmering will cook at a lower temperature, and it will take longer to cook. To compensate for the lower boiling point of water, the cooking time must be increased. Turning up the heat will not help cook food faster. Answer:	HadinEEon customer service replied to me almost immediately. When the temp is set other than 212, it will take a longer time to reach the target temp. When the water temp is about to reach set temp, the kettle will be in a start-stop adjustment for water to gradually approach set temp. That means the kettle starts and stops heating over several times for reaching target water temp. Once the water reaches the target temp, the kettle turns off immediately and make beep sounds.

The same warning is on all the electric pots. None of the other warnings apply to this product. Wash hands after handling. " CA government warns us about the hazards inside the car also. I still drive a car. Question:	Is there any plastic at all, in contact with the tea water
Answer:	It seems there are 2 places... One down the handle - there is what seems to be a piece of white plastic cover what may cover internally screw that holds bottom of handle, and the other next to nuzzle, a piece around filter that water gets poured outside - the same design I found in my Costco's Hamilton Beach. I'd still consider it a 'minimal impact'(or marginal)... Keep also in mind there are plastics out there with no ''carcinogenic impact'' when in contact with water... It could be down there some kind of silicon as well as can't reach down there. The upper one above the filter that seats in nozzle is very slim. I'd not worry about them anyway for this amount exposed. (if you think cancer stuff. For durability, I bet it's just fine - minimum amount (.01%??)...
Question:	Have you had a problem with the lettering disappearing from the temperature control and start buttons? I was very disappointed to see this happen after only a few months
Answer:	After reading about this issue of the lettering disappearing, when we got our's we put clear tape over each button to keep that protected. We've had the kettle for a year now and still looks like new. We wish we didn't have to do that. All Cuisinart would have to do is scribe the letters in or counter sync the letters and fill with black. The problem would be fixed easy. Another thing you could do if you have a label maker is make labels. Other than that, we use it constantly. We love it!
Question:	noise
Answer:	Not near as noisy as others I've used/heard. It brings the water up to the selected temperature pretty quickly, which also reduces the noise. At first, the noise is very low, then it gets louder as the water gets closer to temperature. I just filled it to max with cold filtered water and it took about 5 minutes to hit 200 degrees and only about 3 of that was "noisy," but I could still have a phone conversation a few feet away with no issues.

Question:	Could the kettle show the temperature of the water
Answer:	The kettle would not show the degree, but indicator light will on when the kettle is heating, and it would automatically shut off when water gets boiled.
Question:	How to do get the kettle to fit into the base ? It arrived and is wobbly and does not click into the heating element base... help
Answer:	Plug the element in first, then put the kettle ( don’t forget the water) on top of it, push the button down, there should appear the red light on the bottom side which means it is on and working. Wait 5 minutes and the boiled water is ready, serve as you wish. I hope it helped. If something doesn’t work or unsteady, just return it back and get another one. Mine was in excellent condition and working properly, everything fits. Also ask the manufacturer if needed.

Question:	When i use it for milk (at 150 degrees) it leaves a dark residue stuck to the bottom. how best to clean it? is it ok to heat milk rather than water
Answer:	Milk contains lactose, a natural sugar. It is probably that and coagulated proteins which are burning on the area by the heating element, just as it sticks to a pan. Normally, only water is boiled in a kettle like this.
Question:	Can you set and view the timer after you take the pot off the base? Not sure what it would be used for if you can’t view when kettle is off base
Answer:	Kettle has a stop watch, not a timer you can set. After water is heated and you want to take pot off base and begin stop watch, remove pot from base and turn machine off/on and then do long press and timer will begin. It took me a couple of tries but it seems machine resets itself or temp comes down and stop watch can start again. Thanks. P.S. If stop watch is running and you take pot off then the numbers disappear but the stop watch is still running. The numbers reappear when you return pot to base.
Question:	Would this work with a smart plug? Or do you have to hit the on switch and the temperature every time
Answer:	No. A smart plug only can help the kettle connect the electric power but it can't control the kettle to turn on/off the switch. Hope this helps!
