Answer:	Yes they can. There are two filters included with this machine and one is specifically designed to fit ESE pods.
Question:	More espresso comes from the right spigot than the left. Has anyone else had this problem? I literally get twice as much from the right side
Answer:	It could be your grind. It could also be the way you are tampering it. Those 2 things will throw your shots of espresso off.
Question:	Is anyone else having trouble twisting the portafilter into the center position? Mine stops quite a bit shy of center and won't budge

Answer:	Al visible parts of ports filter are metal except rubber gasket and plastic handle.

Question:	Is this a 4 cups of Coffe? How much coffe does it make
Answer:	I've not timed it, but it's pretty quick. Of course, the first cup takes a little longer because the water has to heat. Once that's been done, it's probably 2 minutes or so per cup (not too long so you can stand there and enjoy watching that creamy steamed milk pour into the cup and smell the heavenly espresso as it's dispensed into the cup)!
Question:	Are there any major differences between this model, ecp3420, and the ecp3630 that is $80 more
Answer:	Not technically but there is a work around. The machine froths the milk before brewing the espresso so simply choose latte or cappuccino, froth the milk, the press the Start/Stop button BEFORE the espresso is brewed. However, since the beans are ground first, you will waste the grounds. A way around this is to choose the ground coffee bypass but simply don't add any grounds. Then proceed to froth the milk. You should still press the Start/Stop button before the coffee is pulled so you don't get any left over grounds water.
Question:	What size tamper does this machine need
Answer:	Can't tell if you're serious or not, but I will answer anyways. The machine will take ground or whole beans so as along as your decaf coffee comes in one of those forms you should be good to go. You can also use orange juice instead of water to compliment your pick for a $800 decaf coffee maker

Answer:	Yes, quite motor.

Answer:	i believe the 3220, 3420, & 3630 are essentially the same core machine - except for a retailer sku variation 3220 / 3420, & finish variation 3630 - you might want to double check with De'Longhi to confirm. We picked up the 3220 locally & are finding it a surprisingly nice machine.

Answer:	I ordered a 49mm tamper as this was posted as such, but it is in fact 51mm. The 49mm works fine since this machine is pressurized and doesn’t need much tamping to begin with.

Answer:	Yes. Included 2-sided plastic dual purpose tool : 49mm tamper / oval coffee scoop. Ok - not too elegant & lightweight - but perfectly functional.

Answer:	You can brew as much coffee as you like, just push the button more than once. You can also use whatever milk product suits you (surprisingly skim milk foams best).

Question:	From your experience, does this machine produce a nice foam after using it for a while
Answer:	My Friend. There ARE plenty of YouTube videos that actually demonstrate how to use the top hand air pump to double as a milk froather. I haven't tried it myself, yet with just examining each piece of the equipment, looks like it will work. The upper plunger hand air pump will force a jet of pressurized air into the milk that can and does fit in the extra glass tumbler that comes with the kit. So, when you finish with pressing your espresso, then you can portion half the spare glass tumbler, take the plunger pump off the device, submerge the lower tip into the milk and carefully press down the pump to force the jet of air into the milk, making it eventually froath up. One component, double duty, pressurize the hot water chamber to 15-20 bars pressure than forces the hot water through the ground coffee puck, then when detached, press the plunger to force a jet of air to froath up milk in the second glass tumbler to finish making your cappuccino.
Question:	My lattes are cold. What am I doing wrong? The espresso is hot, but when I put the frothed milk in, it chills it. Steam longer and too frothy
Answer:	You fill it with hot water, then pump to pressurize the vessel and push water through the grinds. So the resultant temperature is a function of how hot the water is when you pour it in. Pushing the water through to make espresso is quick once the container is filled so the water does not cool down too much.
Question:	What size tamper do you use with this machine? 51 or 53 mm? It looks like the 58 would be too large
Answer:	The base is made of ABS, a common and inexpensive plastic material (same as used to make the black waste pipes used in homes). If my base cracked, I would either 1) try to get a replacement from the manufacturer under the warranty, 2) repair it with cyanoacrylate glue, or 3) cement it together with ABS glue (available at hardware stores). I recommend keeping it out of the sunlight as much as possible, as it deteriorates under UV light.
Question:	Is the boiler made of aluminum, and does aluminum otherwise come in contact with the water
Answer:	you can use the poder container to press the rubber gasket a little. please don't worry, the rubber gasket was made to keep the filter stay in place, a little dislocation won't influence the coffee you make.

I just spent many years looking a “better cup”. I found collectivo in 2014 and haven’t once been disappointed. I don’t have to look any more. A better cup simply isn’t possible. Answer:	Yes. Grind, tamp and extract all happen with the push of a button. Whole beans go in the top, little biscuits of compressed, spent grounds are emptied from the bottom. The espresso produced is VERY consistent in volume, strength and flavor - suggesting very consistent preparation by the machine.
Question:	How do you make the water hotter. My coffee is hot.but not real hot. If you add cream it then becomes warm.Is there a button
Answer:	I originally bought a Delonghi Espresso maker, and send it back for another model - the Perfecta, which works fine. (Sorry I don't remember the original model). However, it did not make the water hot enough. The brewer should work at 190 - 205 degrees F. If the coffee is lower in temperature it will not extract the flavor compounds, and it will be cool compared to your regular coffee. The Answer is - Send it back if the measured temperature in the cup is too low, e.g. below 185 F. There is no temperature adjustment.

Answer:	The pods are recycled by Nespresso, but you need one of their "free" recycling bags which you get by requesting it from Nespresso, but only when you order a minimum amount of new pods. I don't remember how much the order needs to be. Something around $50. You can recycle them yourself, but they're full of used coffee grounds so you need to open them with a sharp knife and rinse them out. It's not difficult, but it's easier to just get the bags.

This method allows me to use my preferred coffee freshly ground in a burr grinder. (Fine grind/not espresso fine) The My-Cap disk is VERY expensive for what you get but it works. The 10 cent My-Cap filters don't work as well as the AeroPress filters which are available on Amazon as well as Target, etc., for a fraction of the price. Remove foil from the Vertuo capsule, clean and use over & over. The Vertuo capsule is made of thin aluminum that has a necessary bar-code printed on the underside of the lip. Capsule is somewhat fragile so handle with care and it should last indefinitely. Results: Freshly ground coffee of your choice at a fraction of the cost, about $0.20 win win win. But you really have to tack on the model of the machine when you talk about Nespresso brand. Lattissima is a specific range of Nespresso machines and represents a product line under the Nespresso brand.
