Answer:	Apparently vinegar isn't acidic enought to break down the mineral buildup. I used to use vinegar in my Ninja coffee bar but the clean light kept coming back on. Vinegar wasn't doing the job. I used a descaling solution instead, and I couldn't believe what came out of my coffee maker. No wonder the light kept coming back on. A lot of oil, black flakes, the water was muddy gray. Doesn't look like that anymore when I clean since I stopped using vinegar to descale it
Question:	I am trying to figure this out, have had my brewer about 1 yr. where do i put this. I am guessing in water reservoir and run it through a couple cycle
Answer:	Water scale (lime) is primarily composed of calcium oxide and calcium hydroxide. Descaling and decalcifying are essentially the same thing. The weak acids (usually citric acid) present in the descaling agent dissolve the buildup of lime (which is alkaline) in the water channels and thermoblocks of the coffee machines, keeping them free of obstruction and therefore efficient.

Answer:	The Cuisinart features two separate reservoirs — one to brew a full pot of coffee & one for a single-serve cup. The two reservoirs mean that when you brew a pot, you aren’t using up all of the water from the single-serve reservoir — which is a plus. However both reservoirs are somewhat difficult to access. To answer your question, you don’t have to pour water in each time for the single-serve function, which is an improvement over some other dual coffee makers (like the Hamilton Flex Brew). The single-serve reservoir holds 40 oz — enough to brew three 10 oz cups or five 6 oz cups before refilling. (It requires a limited amount of water to remain in the reservoir to work properly.) Answer:	We only use the single serve side and it makes a great cup of coffee! I like the design since there is no guess work in how full it is going to fill your cup. You fill your cup with the amount of water you want, pour it in the machine, and push the button. I use a 16oz cup and it fills it full. The reservoir is emptied every time you use it so no mold/bacteria problem either!

Answer:	I take the k cup and open it pour the amount that’s in there in the coffee pot single side and brews just fine. Perfect measure.

Question:	Can you just brew water
Answer:	Sure can. Just pretend you put a pod in and use product as usual.. The hot water comes through as usual.
Question:	what size Paper filter
Answer:	It does not use filter paper. It has a reusable "permanent" filter and that is my biggest issue with this machine. The permanent filter allows some fine grounds to pass through and the filter would likely overflow if you added filter paper to it to eliminate this problem. This is true even though I set my coffee mill to a coarser setting, thinking that would eliminate the problem. It helped just a bit. I wish they had included a filter holder, but you could cut out the mesh of the permanent filter and make your own (cut to size) filter paper. I have not tried this yet but may later. Right now I just am careful to not drink the coffee to the bottom of the cup as the sediment is rather nasty. The only other alternative would be to filter the coffee before drinking which seems to make the point of a large cup coffee maker inconvenient rather than 'just right'.
Question:	Can you add milk instead of water in the tank for richer coffee
Answer:	Rather than using milk in the brewer, and risk ruining your coffeemaker, if you like a richer taste, buy a small carton of real whipping cream and add to your coffee after brewing instead. Coffee with real 100% cream versus milk or half and half is truly a gourmet experience, and is zero carbs, so it's keto-friendly as well. A little bit of 100% whipping cream goes a long way in your cup of coffee, so you can adjust the amount as desired. That would be my suggestion to try. :)

Question:	Does this turn on/off through Alexa ? Is it possible
Answer:	No. The power switch is on the side of the device, and it isn't communique possible. It needs to be pressed each time it's powered off to activate it. Merely using a smart plug won't work well enough, as just giving power to the cord isn't enough to turn it on. It still needs the power switch activated to turn on.
Question:	Does it accept typical round pods
Answer:	yes, it uses standard K-cups that you can buy anywhere. But there's an added bonus; the reusable plastic coffee holder and mesh wire basket. I like fresh ground coffee without the coloring the add to the K-cups. So I grind my own coffee and fill the little wire mesh basket about 3/4 full (a little over 2 tablespoons of ground coffee) and brew a 10 oz cup. It is WONDERFUL and using your own ground coffee is less that half of the cost of buying K-cup pods.
Question:	Anyone else have this start making loud noises when brewing? If so, do you know how to fix it
Answer:	: just received this coffee maker 1/7/2020. YES, it is very loud when brewing, wakes my husband up. My previous machine, a Keurig K250, never made this loud of a noise, even after having it over 6 years. That being said, I do like the machine so far. Was easy to program/set up. I have contacted Cuisinart, after numerous suggestions from them to fix the problem, they are sending a replacement and I am returning this one at no expense to me.

Answer:	I have mine under a kitchen cabinet on my counter. I love it. I can take the water reservoir off to fill and I can remove the filter basket without moving the coffee maker out from under the cabinet.

DEEP CLEANING FOR COFFEE BREWER

1.Observe four holes of coffee outlet, whether there is any obstruction.

2.Use a paper clip or toothpick to dredge top lid needle on four outlet and water outlet.

3.After dredging,use food grade funnel to fill water into reservoir,add 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup vinegar, press button to clean.

4.After brewing,please add water with vinegar in reservoir for one hour.

5.After one hour,please pour out water.

6.Brew again with fresh water afterwards until no vinegar smell remains.

CLEANING AND MAINTAINCE

1.Please brew water to clean for first use,it can be more effective to extract essence from coffee.

2.Fill reservoir with 4：1 for water and citric acid,press power button to clean machine.

Question:	How often does this machine require a thorough cleaning
Answer:	If you only drink coffee clean the machine once a month. If you drink tea run clear water thru the machine after brewing the tea. If you make hot chocolate give the machine a though cleaning after making the chocolate, do not let the machine set without cleaning.
Question:	How tall is the coffee maker
Answer:	Closed, approximately 15 inches at the highest curved point. You will need an additional 3 inches to open the top to insert the cup. I have to scoot mine out from under the cabinet to put the pod in but it fits under just fine until then.
Question:	Can you use "pods" not made by Keurig
Answer:	You can use any brand "K" cups in this coffee maker including the filter cups to use your own grounds. But you cannot use the large "pods". This is just an old fashion Keurig coffee maker that works great.

Answer:	The K-55 Does not come with a filter attachment. My wife purchase the filter attachment (Black) with reminder dial...not compatible. Supposedly the filter attachment for the K-55 is the clear plastic one that goes into the cold water reservoir and snaps to the bottom outlet. Goin to order it now. Yeah we made that mistake.

Answer:	Yes, it works with mugs. I use a very tall mug and it still fits with room under the spout. How much water you put in depends on how strong you want your coffee. I use what is a *normal* amount for me i.e., fill my tall mug almost to the top. I use this every day and have not been disappointed.
Question:	Is it easy to clean the filter for the grounds, or do the grounds stick in the mesh? Are there little paper filters that are designed to line it
Answer:	We don't have little paper filters, but the filter for the grounds is very easy to clean. I just wash it with water and it becomes clean in few seconds.
Question:	Can someone please tell me can you make strong coffee with this coffee maker? I purchase a coffee maker that I couldn't taste the coffee at all
Answer:	another way to get stronger coffee is by purchasing a darker roasted coffee. Many of the coffee packages will tell you how strong the coffee is. The more roasted the coffee bean the deeper/stronger the coffee will be. This coffee maker will only brew a maximum of 14 oz. per brew cycle but the coffee ground holder holds 3/4 cup of grounds. I would experiment with different types of roasted beans, amount of water used and amount of ground coffee used at one time to try to get the perfect cup of coffee for your taste.

Answer:	Keurig k-cups are too expensive. I use Folgers or Maxwell House or Wal-Mart pods. They work fine, especially Wal-Mart Pods (Medium-Dark) which only cost 25 cents each if you buy a carton of 100.
