Answer:	I have the Q7 and I use a 640Gb portable hard-drive with it without problems. I have about 700 movies on it and I don't need anything else but the projector and the hard-drive. It is a non-powered hard-drive also, so the USB port has enough power to run it. Hope this helps.

Answer:	I've read elsewhere that it requires a 3D source, the projector, and 3D glasses (the active-shutter type, IIRC). When the projector detects the glasses, the otherwise grayed-out menu choices become selectable. I would guess it also takes twice the bandwidth of 2D high-def, or 20Mbps if you're viewing source over the Internet, but home/work networks should have plenty of bandwidth. And if you're playing through your PC (via HDMI-out), it obviously needs a decoder, but I think it also must be HDCP compliant if accessing content over the Internet (or commercial content). That's less likely if you're using VGA-out.

How does this test a speaker with tone generation

Answer:

Hi I'm Saul, I'm an instalation autotech for best buy so I use this product everyday. The tone generator does not have an on off switch only the on button. It will automatically shut off after 5 min. To use the unit either connect with the gator clips or plug in the rca. Push the on button. Here's the confusing part I'm sure. There are two knobs on the device the one on the left is the frequency or tone. It goes from a really low frequency for test things such as subs to a really high frequency for testing speakers like tweeters. The know on the right controls how much voltage it will give the speaker from the internal battery, think of it as some what if a volume knob. Before connecting make sure both if these are all the way down and adjust to desired tone and volume. The is a speaker test button on the bottom right of the device it is used to test the polarity of the speaker let you know the positive and negative terminals. To use this feature simply connect the gator clips to the terminals of the speaker, make sure the frequency and "volume" knobs are both turn all the way down they will not be used for this part, and simply push the test button. If the speaker moves out ward then you have your red wire on the positive terminal if the speaker moves inward the red wire is connected to the negative terminal. The two rca plugs at the top of the device are to test rca cable.plug one end of the rca cable to one plug and the other end of the same line to the other. Push the on button and if the light is on then you have a good rca line. Repeat to the other line on the rca cable and done.Hope I answered all of your questions for you. Good luck

Is this analog only or digital only or both

Answer:

This device sends out a tone that is variable using the tuning knob. In addition, there is an amplitude knob. You will definitely know the speaker is working. This device is not designed to be a full on speaker tester which is very expensive and would be used in a controlled environment. This device is a basic test device to verify the speaker is working and to verify the cabling back to the equipment. All of that being said, you can have a speaker system tested and set up with the best equipment made and by the best technicians in the world and it still may not sound correct to YOU. There is a simple explanation for this. Ears are non-linear and everyone's hearing is different. Different people have different likes/dislikes as well. Many years ago equalizers were very common so you would be better able to adjust different parts of the frequency spectrum based on what YOU want to hear. These are not common anymore.

Answer:	It's not really a tone, but an audible click from the speaker. It's also handy to check polarity, as you should see the speaker cone move outward when you press the button. If you see it suck in, then you know you need to switch your + and - wires.
