Instructions say to clean it out from time to time; you might try that - some grinds may have gotten caked and are blocking new grinds’ passage. However, mine did the same thing, and I never was able to get it to work, despite repeated cleanings. Better luck to you!

Question:	How many ounces is a standard cup of coffee using this machine
Answer:	Do you meam the sludge that forms in the bottom of the pot and not actual coffee grounds? Because that stuff is bitter and ruins the coffee. If that is your problem look for a better brand disposable filter. My coffee is great right to the end and worth the extra pennies now.
Question:	Are there plastics that come in contact with the hot water or coffee
Answer:	There is not much you can do about it. You could pour it into an old time percolator and set it on your burner on your stove. That is dirtying another pot though. I've even poured the coffee into the carafe of my old coffee maker and turned it on so I'd have a burner. That made absolutely no sense though so I finally just went back to my old coffee maker, and I use my spice mill for a grinder when I have whole beans. With the grinder on this machine being too small and requiring too many beans and the fact that there is no burner, this coffee maker is barely a 2 star product in my opinion. I'll give the timer 5 stars.

Answer:	Spin the grinder while pulling up on the basket. Make sure that everything is dry when you put it back together after cleaning. Had the same problem with an earlier model.

Answer:	We've had three of these over the past 10 years. Reeeally weak coffee on a consistent basis (not just occasionally) means we need to replace it. Not exactly sure why it does this, but you can try the 1-4 cup option to try and heat it up more while you wait for your new one.

Answer:	This is not the coffee maker I bought. There was an issue with the description and the seller (not the same seller) sent me the one with the steel carafe. I called them and returned the steel carafe one. they replaced it with the model with the glass carafe. The glass carafe model has a hot plate underneath, the steel carafe does not. There are a lot of compliants about the steel carafe cooling off too fast. I love mine. Had it for over 2 years and it still works great.

Answer:	I’ve had this exact coffeemaker and it is worth every penny. It lasted me longer than 10 years and made perfect coffee every time. Part of the cost is the carafe which is roughly equivalent to a Yeti container, though not quite as good. The carafe alone sells for about $80. I miss my old Cuisinart Grind and Brew, and have gone through many others since, all with disappointing results. I can’t afford a new one of these right now, but you can be sure I’ll get by on the sub-par one I’m using now until I can afford a new one of these. Question:	Does it automatically mill the beans if you program it to start on its own or do I have to grind the beans manually and then set the program function
Answer:	It grinds the beans when you program it.... just make sure that you have the setting correct to grind the correct amount of cups!!
Question:	What is the grinder capacity 1/2 lb beans
Answer:	The grinder has settings to grind for 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12 cups of coffee. So it will grind per the setting. For 12 cups I do use about a 1/2 c of coffee beans.
Question:	Am I missing something? When I turn the coffee power button on - it just blinks and does not heat up
Answer:	I would check the settings for time, grind and brew strength. If nothing works, refer to the manual. When I set mine for delayed start time, I just press the "auto" button twice, the clock shows up in the display, and I wake up to perfect coffee. It's probably something simple - I had to play with mine for a bit when I first set it up.
