Answer:	The ONLY filter you really want to use with this decanter is one with a pointed tip. Otherwise, the drip process is rather slow. The design of both the decanter AND the pointed filter function together to make a clean, fast cup of coffee. (Of course you can use any paper filter, but it won't be as efficient).

Answer:	If you fill it to where it says 5, that is about 24oz, in Japan I suspect a serving is between 4 or 5 ounces, you could add a little more. I bought the Hario grinder also and together you can make a strong cup of coffee

Answer:	Yes, it's plastic, but most professional baristas prefer the plastic because it doesn't absorb as much heat from the water; so the water that's going through the coffee is just a touch warmer than that which goes through on the ceramic version. So this is less expensive but actually better.

Answer:	Yes it will, not 100% perfect, as the grinds are not 100% consistent (as in, some particles are different sizes from others), especially if you loosen it too much and make it too coarse. But if you veer toward the finer end of the coarse scale, the grinds get more consistent. This is due to the conical burr mechanism of this device, which is primarily for expresso machine or stovepot. Question:	how long does it take to grind
Answer:	Some residual liquid ending up in the pod reservoir is normal after a brew. Water leaks into that pod reservoir when the lever and pressure is lifted. Liquid also leaches out of the spent pods when they are sitting in the pod reservoir. However if this is a significant loss in liquid ending of in your cup, then there is something wrong with the seal and this machine needs to be replaced.
