Fats that are solid at room temperature are best; vegetable oil and nonstick spray tend to polymerize in high heat and cause a sticky residue buildup, which in turn causes cakes and batters to stick.

Answer:	I am not sure, but keep in mind that bread dough has a higher density, so it may not create an even crust. Sorry if you don't find it helpful enough...

Answer:	Yes, I use it with mousse cake and it works perfectly
Question:	I want to use these on 14", 12" 10" and 6 " pans for a wedding cake. Will they work
Answer:	It's not used for baking items such as cakes but rather for items that are built in layers. You would make your cake in another pan and then would use this to build layers while keeping a nice shape. Basically you would cut your sponge into thinner layers, placing one at the bottom of the ring you could then add your jam, mousse or what have you. Then you would add another layer of the sponge followed by another layer of your choice and so on. If you watch shows like The Great British Bake Off or The Great British Baking Show(one is on PBS and the other is currently on Netflix) you'll see them use ring molds quite a bit. Of course I'm sure YouTube has some videos as well. Hope your baking adventures go well.

Answer:	Have used twice and the first time there was some indentation; the second time I did not encounter much of a problem. I used a light shortening and flour on inside of ring the second time which appeared to help
