I got them to replace 2 old set that started rusting when they had water sitting on them for too long - don't know if they were not dishwasher safe or if they were just old and the non-stick had worn away from years of use. Hope that is helpful. They have been great replacements - my food doesn't stick in them at all!

Answer:	The pan makes 24 muffins, not 20. The muffin is the size of a standard cupcake paper you buy at the store. But I don't use the cupcake papers because the silicone never sticks to the muffins and it is so very easy to wash. I love my muffin pans and use them to make flax meal muffins every other week.

Answer:	This is relating to the other response... there are times when you can use metal in a microwave. It has more to do with the shape of the metal in the microwave than whether it touches the edges. If you forget and leave your spoon or fork in a bowl and microwave it, it will spark and possibly burn out your microwave, but some microwaveable soup containers have a metal ring (circular helps). I’m nowhere near expert enough to suggest safe ways to use it, but I wanted to point out that just not touching the side isn’t the criteria for what makes it okay.

Answer:	I have had mine for 10 + years and used 100's of times without warping. They have been an excellent performer, darkening with use as should be. They are shallower than half sheet pans by maybe 3/8". I have both types and pleased with all. Vertical good product in my opinion.

Answer:	They are made in China. I didn't even notice that until after I bought them at my local Kroger.Also, don't be fooled by the stated pan size. The dimensions molded into the edge of each pan state: 9"x5" or 8"x4" or 5.75"x3". How convenient!At least, those are the dimensions I thought I had purchased. I don't normally carry my tape measure to the grocery store; so I just trusted those numbers were correct. It wasn't until later when I realized the real dimensions from top inside edge to top inside edge:the 9"x5" pans are really 9.5"x5.25"the 8"x4" pans are really 8.5"x4.5"the 5.75"x3" pans are really 5.75"x3.125"Why the difference? I wonder how they got those numbers? At least the pans aren't smaller than what I thought I was getting, but I'd rather have accurate measurements. What's the point of molding these into the pan, only to get it wrong?

Answer:	This is the pan I purchased so I can't answer your question. Mine was a much more shallow 12 slot muffin pan and seems to be coated aluminum not heavy enough to be steel.
