Answer:	Large compartment is 6 X 4 inches and 3 inches wide at the small end. next one is 4.25 X 3 and 2.5 inches at the small end, smallest one is 3.5 X 2.5 and 2.25 at the small end. Each compartment has a bit of a curve. They work well for me. When I make a meal, I cook extra and package up the left overs in these to make a sort of "TV dinner" and put them in the freezer. That way, the next week, I can just pop these in the microwave, and have a ready made meal.

Question:	Just received my Jiffy J2 and there isn't much steam pressure at all. Is that how it should be
Answer:	DG8520 has safety clip for nose of iron (plus indented heel area to securely hold iron nose to heel - iron stays securely in place since its gripped by both sides) - keeps unit snug together with less chance of falling while transporting (previous iron could flip off during transport as you have to physically hold onto both top iron and bottom generator/station unit). DG8520 also has on/off switch (for previous models without built in on/off switch - its possible to plug into power strip with on/off switch) which previous models do not... along with larger water tank. Both can be filled with water without unit having to be cooled down. Just refill and keep on pressing! ;)I've owned several of the last 3 models (for my sewing business - these Rowenta iron steam stations can be your best friend - saves time for repetitive motions)... and like the DG8520 the best. The built in on/off switch and longer time between refilling have spoiled me... plus it's neat that I can carry unit without fear of iron being bumped off while in transport.

Answer:	The designs are different. I am completely happy with the purple one. I had two previous models that I hated because they dribbled water all over, so (personally) I would not even bother with the cheaper one. In fact, I might buy another purple model to have in storage in case Rowenta changes the design on the NEXT model.

It takes a few minutes to warm up then steam comes out. you hold it close to the fabric, even touching it to remove the wrinkles. There is no spray like a hose if that's what you are expecting. Answer:	Add me to the group! I purchased this iron a year ago. A year and TEN days ago. I know this because this morning when water started pouring out of my iron, I had to look up the date of purchase, so I could use my spiffy one year warranty. So much for that!! One year, and this pretty expensive iron is broken, ten days after the warranty expires. I am beyond frustrated, reading that this has happened to others who purchased one of these irons. My last iron was $12 at Walmart and lasted 15 years, four moves, 2 children, and a serviceman who wore BDU's, which needed to be ironed, five days a week. Get the warranty!!

Answer:	Yes they are. That's part of what you're paying the high price for. I had another Rowenta iron similar to this and it had over 100 temperature settings. This is important if you iron a variety of delicate synthetic fabrics, because the cheap irons just don't "cut" it.

Answer:	Mine says Made in Germany on the iron. But don't do like I did and think it's an excellent product because it's not made in China. Wait till it starts leaking water out of the bottom. I can only use mine as a dry iron anymore. Read all the online reviews for this model. Leaking seems to be a common problem with these Rowenta's.
Question:	why should I not use distilled water in my rowenta iron
Answer:	I think the cleaning tap water after each use demand is reflective of the answer whether to utilize distilled H2O. I drink only distilled water for the past 30 years as it removes all impurities including radioactive isotopes ending up at 6.9 ph. Tap water is targeted at 7.2 ph, human blood 7.4 ph. Removal of the intended steam water after each use solves the standing water colloidalization of metal; then distilled no cleaning demand. For me, I will use this method with DISTILLED WATER and see my last iron last over 30 years until it breaks from age old wear. New iron, why should I change a sure thing of past experience; nope!

Answer:	I was shocked to see on my Rowenta iron that it was made in China, not in Germany like all the advertisements said. I’m pretty disgusted. My first Rowenta iron was made in Germany. When did they change?

Answer:	I looked up maytag on wikipedia and google, they have plants in the US and in Mexico but also own and are connected to many other brands which are made outside the US and Americas. We have been using this iron for two years now (first one lasted about four years), 5 -6 days a week for about 8-12 hrs per day, and guess what. No problem thus far.

I sent this model back and just recieved the Rowenta W9280 Steam Force Steam Iron, 1800-watt and it is wonderful! It was $4 more but vastly more efficient in steam! I ironed 75 freshly washed Fat Quarters in no time flat! Slightly damp painters canvas ironed out in one pass! Ironing silk and rayon flew by in a flash! I'm in love! Oh, I hate the blue color, but I don't buy irons for color! Hope this helps!

Answer:	The automatic steam level can be regulated with a dial. You can also do a burst of steam with the button. So, yes, the steam can be regulated pretty easily.

Answer:	The bottom line is , you can't. Even when it shuts off automatically, the light will continue to flicker to let you know it is plugged in. You should always unplug irons after you're done using them for safety. High cost irons like this one all shut off automatically. But if they are accidentally moved or shifted they will turn on, hence their flickering light design. They want people to unplug the irons when they are done using them

Answer:	I dont know about the other irons, I have had another Rowenta and I like the DW6080 the best., uses tap water and does not spit or drip drag water on what I am ironing. This is the best iron I have had and used. It is my favorite, very smooth and small tip goes under buttons easily. Really like this iron and for me it got hot enough, most of our ironing is 100% cotton and it does a beautiful job. Hope this helps you....

Answer:	Press down on the lid when you hit the release button! It should come right up! It's a great press if you can get that to work! It is pretty confusing and took me a bit to figure it out!
Question:	Does anyone know how to make it show Fahrenheit instead of Celsius
Answer:	No. One solution: You can write the Fahrenheit equivalents fir every temperature range that it shows, once. The formula is F= 9/5times C+ 32. Or you can say Fahrenheit is a little less than twice Celsius.
Question:	How do you get the steam to work? Mine is fairly new - do I need to hold the burst button down for a few seconds or something? Not at press now
