Answer:	No- not recommended to place mat directly on the heat source. There is no way around cleaning residue from skillets or pans left behind on glass cook tops. I recommend Soft Scrub...not the Yoshi grill mat.

Answer:	The picture is the absolute right color. These are WONDERFUL to use. the color would called sort of a taupe, I think, with an added bit of yellow ro give them some life, binding is dark grey. I love these mats. They are my second set; the first set is still usable and in use along with the new ones; all are being used. ENJOY!!!!

Question:	will the natural gas kit work on the 17 inch grill
Answer:	It's possible, but usually these liners are just used for the bottom of a baking pan/ countertops to make bread. I haven't used this technique. Hopefully it works out in your favor!

Answer:	No, it has a slightly shiny surface and it’s mildly tacky in texture. This is meant as a parchment paper replacement for baking.
