We contacted the manufacturer directly and were sent replacement backpacks with minimal difficulty. I had to take pictures of the damage, find my old amazon reciept and then show that I had destroyed the backpack to get a replacement. I needed new backpacks due to kids wanting to change the style of the back pack. I immediately reordered High Sierra because of this experience.

Answer:	I take it that 7.09 inches is the depth of the bag. Like if you turn the image 90 degrees forward it would be 7.09 inches high.

Answer:	No, there is no side pocket. But a water bottle can fit inside.
Question:	Does this have side pockets for a coffee mug holder
Answer:	It is a great backpack, but the sidepockets are smaller. The backpack holds a 16-20 oz water bottle.
