Cut the film into a proper size (a little bigger than glass).

Clean the glass and spray enough soapy water on it.

Remove the transparent backing film and paste window film to glass.

Trim around the edges carefully with a utility knife.

Can it be used for privacy?

Step 1. Make your windows or glass doors extremely clean, make sure there's no glue residue or dust, especially corners.

Step 2. Measure the exact dimensions of your window and cut the film into the right size

Step 3. Remove protective liner of the film, spray enough soapy water onto the surface of the glass and the film, then place the film against glass.

Step 4. Squeegee out all bubbles from the center to all the four edges. Make sure there is no visible bubble left on the surface.

Step 5. Trim away the redundant film edges (leaving a gap of 1/16 inches between the film and window frame). Then wipe the window clean.

Note:

• The window film works only on FLAT, CLEAN, and SMOOTH surfaces. It will not stick on plastic, broken or uneven surfaces.
• Make sure you have removed the transparent backing film and paste the smooth side to the window, or it will not cling.

Answer:	It does block the sun to an extent; not completely though because it is, after all, see through. It allows some breeze to pass through but you would still need a fan for good air movement. I find it keeps my double garage quite a bit cooler than outside.

Answer:	This style is not intended to be a waterproof boot. However, if they were to get wet, like you got caught wearing them on rainy day, it would be fine. Answer:	Not sure. But we did ride n the rain and it kept my feet pretty dry. So I would probably say yes. At the very least water resistant for sure.

Installation Steps:

• 1. Measure the length and width of the window or the glass wall and cut the film into a proper size. Attention: Keep the film approximately half a centimeter longer and wider than the window or the glass wall.
• 2. Keep the window or glass clean.
• 3. Wet the window or glass completely.
• 4. Peel off the backing transparent protective film.
• 5. Paste the film to the window and use your hand to press it from the top down so that it can tightly attach to the surface.
• 6. Squeegee away water and air bubbles with a scraper or a bank card. To avoid leaving scratches on the window film, gently hang up the air bubbles.
• 7. Cut the excessive parts slowly.

Spray a lot of soapy water is the key point.

• Before applying, remember to tear off the protective film. (Please stick a tape on the film's corner to peel off the clear backing from the film)
• Spray more soapy water on the glass and surface of the film, the more water, the better, and scrape all the bubbles out with a squeegee.
• Cut the film to a size of 2mm from the window frame, pick up a corner at the edge, re-spray and paste, and scrape the bubble.

Question:	What is the point of more expensive "Peel & Cling" vs. the adhesive version? That you can take it off and re-use
Answer:	It stays closed...bugs can't get through, but a dog or cat can.
Question:	I've never used this, but do you put it on thre inside of the window? Or outside
Answer:	There are no rod holders in the box (I purchased this in April 2019) and the rod slid down immediately. So I guess I’m off to Home Depot tomorrow...and I’m not thrilled about putting screws into a brand new patio door. I’ll try something that just sticks on first. So far not impressed with this item.
Question:	does this film distort view from inside? does it appear mirror like from outside
Answer:	It is adjustable. The "curtain rod" that comes with it can be made larger, or slightly smaller, and has rubber tips to keep it firmly in place. I hang mine, then adjust the rod to be as tight as possible. I've had 4 dogs run outside and not knock this down. Also, there are 2 slots at the top where you can place the rod to give an extra 1+ inches of length if needed.
