It's an Old Timely trick, but keeps glass from breaking from abrupt temperature changes. It also helps to warm the cup under warm running water, to pre-heat the glass a little. The ONE TIME I forgot to do this, I was filling a one gallon pickle jar with boiling water for Kombucha! What a mess! I'll never forget again. |
