Question:	What type of batteries does USB port need
Answer:	They made me gatecheck this bag on a packed flight with American Airlines. It is slightly bigger than the max size for a carry on, so whether you have to gatecheck it or not is up to their discretion. Wouldn't recommend buying this bag as strictly a carry on b/c you might get charged, but it's a really great bag otherwise.
Question:	Does the front pocket have any useful organizing slots or pockets or is it plain inside
Answer:	Yes it is, but each airline has different restrictions of sizes. But it's small enough to put under a seat, if you don't over pack it.
Question:	Has anyone used this on American Airlines underseat item
Answer:	Hey Chris. I know you asked this question back in August, but if you go by Spirit Airlines guideline of 62 linear inches for checked luggage, this bag is good to go.
Question:	Will either of the side pockets hold a water bottle
Answer:	I suppose if you filled every inch to maximum capacity then you might and I was unable to fill to capacity because I would have been over weight so it did scrunch a bit. I packed it to 48 pounds and it scrunched and it was not over weight or over sized. I chose not to use the side pockets which would have made it fatter and I didn't want it getting caught on any equipment going thru the luggage tunnels at an airport. For a road trip I would have had them all full. I also used some long mailing boxes for the insides so there was a bit of form and this turned out to be an awesome idea. So, no, I did not have to pay over sized luggage fees.
