| Answer: | I have had these Icicles for probably 25 years. Loved when Kurt Adler included both the 3 1/2" (for the top of the tree) and 5 1/2" for the rest of the tree,....made them all the more perfect. I have a 7 1/2' tree and it is probably about 6' across at the bottom. I put the icicle on almost every branch of the tree (inside and out). My collection is well over 600 icicles on my tree and I always buy extras for the very few that I might break each year. I initially took off the silver hanging string and used fishing line so it was clear....a couple years ago I changed to using actual green ornament hangers as they then look like they are "dripping" off the branch. I had tried everything as the finishing of my tree but when I found the ornaments I knew this was the perfect way to finish off my tree! I have given my niece and sister enough of these for their trees and this year my nephew requested some so now I am ordering more so that I can give him a box full for his tree. Almost every year I get a few more boxes as if they ever discontinue making them I will have them for years to come. I cannot say enough about the beauty of these icicles! |
