troubleshooting Steps : Remove all batteries from outdoor sensor and clock. Press one of the buttons on the clock at least 20 times to clear all memory. Verify that the clock is blank before proceeding (there may be lines painted on the screen). Leave both units without power for 15 minutes (very important). Insert fresh batteries into the outdoor sensor. Insert fresh batteries into the clock. Keep the outdoor sensor 5-10 feet from the clock. When RF connection is established, the temperature will appear on the station. Allow the outdoor sensor and clock to sit together for 15 minutes to establish a strong connection. Do not press buttons for 15 minutes. For optimum 915MHz transmission, the outdoor transmitter should be a distance of no more than 200 feet (60 meters, open air) from the clock.

Note: Distance: The maximum transmitting range in open air is over 200 feet (60 meters) between the outdoor transmitter and the clock. Consider what is in the signal path between the clock and the transmitter. Consider the distance the clock is located away from other electronic in the home. Resistance: Obstacles such as walls, windows, stucco, concrete, and large metal objects can reduce the range. When considering the distance between the transmitter and the clock (200 feet open air) cut that distance in half for each wall, window, tree, bush or other obstruction in the signal path. Closer is better. Do not mount the transmitter on a metal fence. This significantly reduces the effective range. Interference: Consider items in the signal path between the transmitter and the clock. Sometime a simple relocation of the transmitter or the clock will correct the interference issue. Windows can reflect the radio signal. Metal will absorb the RF (radio frequency) signal. Stucco is held to the wall by a metal mesh. Transmitting antennas (ham radio, emergency dispatch center, airports, military base etc.) Electrical wires (utilities, cable etc.) Vegetation is full of moisture and reduces signal.

Answer:	It was black. However, I sent two of them back because they quit telling time. It was a beautiful clock. I thought that maybe the first clock had a bad movement, but the replacement clock had the same issue. Brand new batteries didn’t fix either of them. I don’t recommend.

Whereas the TX37U-IT is only a temperature sensor. The TX37U-IT is NOT compatible with ANY of the 1500 and 1900 series stations. It is true that they both use the 915MHz frequency. Hope this helps!

Proper Troubleshooting & Restart

We recommend only using brand name, alkaline batteries, with an expiration date of 7 years ahead (the current year) or tested to 1.48 on voltmeter (avoid rechargeable batteries).

No moisture/corrosion on contacts inside battery compartment (warranty does not cover battery leakage).

Restart: 1) Have indoor station/clock and outdoor sensor 3 to 5 feet apart.

2) Remove batteries from both.

3) Press any one of the buttons (no batteries installed) to completely discharge the unit from static electricity.

4) Install brand new batteries into the outdoor remote sensor first, then into the indoor station/clock.

5) Do not press any buttons on indoor station/clock for at least 10 minutes. After this time, it should read temperatures, so you can place your sensor outdoors and set your time.

6) Sensor should not be mounted any further than 330 ft (100m) Note: Metal siding, stucco, and some types of glass can greatly reduce the signal's range. Though it may be possible to receive transmission through above materials, maximum range decreases to absorb/reflect significantly. Answer:	I have the same clock with the same problem. The sensor worked for a couple of weeks and then just stopped. Company has removed the ability to leave a message and does not answer this number. I have not been able to contact them or even find an address, email or physical, to contact them in writing. I contacted Sharp, because their name is on it, and they really don't care or have anything useful to offer other than the same phone number that hasn't been working since at least March 2020 when I first started trying to contact them. Don't waste time or money on the absolute garbage clock from Sharp, Model SPC1107. It's not really a Sharp product , and there's no way to ever get any help WHEN (not if) it fails. The only fix for this junk clock is to simply not own one.

Question:	Is the clock etc. backlit for reading time etc at night
Answer:	Whatever, the one I have is very dim and I can only view it by holding it. The thing says it has backlight, the manual says it, but it's not a feature. It also has a button "Signal" on the back that is not explained anywhere. It seems to work well enough, but it's impossible to read the screen in most places I have put it or hung it up.
Question:	How "weather resistant" is the sensor
Answer:	The manual suggests that the sensor can be out in the weather, as long as it isn't in the pouring rain. AcuRite sells a protective unit, here on Amazon, for a reasonable price to protect the sensor from full sun and rain and snow. Use Lithium batteries if you have it out in weather colder than 40 degrees (F). Right now it's 44 degrees on my patio in southern California.
Question:	Is the back flat so I can hang this on a wall
Answer:	Yes, the back is flat and it has a recessed hole in the back so it can be hung on a nail or screw. Once hung, it sits perfectly flat against the wall.

Many modern homes have up-to-date clocks or mini weather stations that depend on radio-transmitted data to stay calibrated and current. The La Crosse TX6U works outdoors by sensing temperature and transmitting that information to an indoor station. It can transmit to a base up to 80 feet away. The TX6U can be added to augment information coming to La Crosse units already in operation. Remove batteries from base units first and activate sensors; then replace batteries in base units and press no buttons until a display appears. Multiple sensors can be assigned a number so that it will be clear which information from which sensor is displayed.

The TX6U operates on two AA batteries. Its housing is made of durable, neutral-tone plastic. For options in wall mounting, two screws and screw anchors and a strong adhesive tape are included. Answer:	Take the batteries out of both the clock and the sensor. Make sure you have fresh batteries. Leave off for at least 60 minutes...(the manual says 5 ..bit I found 60 to be much more effective). Put the batteries in your remote then into your clock. Restart as normal and it should read everything.
