User questions & answers
Question: | Does the dial light illuminate the whole dial or only one side of the dial |
Answer: | mine illuminates the entire dial |
Question: | Why does it say on this page "3 inch compact" and lightweight alarm? then It says the clock measures 5.5 X 5 inches |
Answer: | I think the "3 inch" is a mistake. Overall dimensions for the clock are about 5" x 5" x 2.5". The diameter of the clock face is 4". Don Feeney |
Question: | What color is the dial light |
Answer: | I would describe the dial light as an amber color and app ears to glow perfectly against the white face backdrop and black numbers. It is easy to read the time as far as your arm can stretch when it is pitch dark. BTW, this is a great clock; easy to read and operate. The alarm will continue to snooze for several periods. |
Question: | how do you turn on the light |
Answer: | Open the battery compartment on the back of the clock and you will find a switch labelled "light". When set to the "off" position, the light should come on only when you press the button on top of the clock. When the switch is set to "on", the light will come on when the room gets dark and will also come on during the day when you press the button. If pressing the button does not turn on the light and you know the three batteries are all good, then there is a problem with the clock and you should return it to Amazon. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Please describe 2 different alarms and is alarm ascending |
Answer: | I bought the case for the iPad Air. I've had it for a couple of weeks now and I love it. You might try going to the website for the product to see if they have a model for the Mini. |
Question: | How loud is alarm |
Answer: | The main picture for this item is incorrect please see the other color pictures for the correct case design or the picture I uploaded |
Question: | Please describe 2 different alarms and is alarm ascending |
Answer: | The accompanying description indicates that the screen protector is "... built in(to)..." the top part of the case. From what I remember it is glued or has a plastic "weld" that could probably be removed. In some way, however, that defeats part of the reason for buying the case. Many other cases exist without a protector |
Question: | How do I stop the alarm after it goes off |
Answer: | No, it does not have a built in stand. |
Question: | When I click the link for the iPad Mini w/ Retina it just reviews for iPad Air. Has anyone used it with the Mini Retina? How is it |
Answer: | No. This model only works with Apple products. It has a Lightning connector. You'll need earbuds with standard 3.5mm stereo connectors. |
Question: | What are the two wholes at the top of the case? There's nothing there in the cut out so I'm a bit confused |
Answer: | yes |
Question: | Is it possible to remove the built in screen protector in any way |
Answer: | I haven't had any trouble with mine |
Question: | Does this have a built in stand like the Otterbox |
Answer: | Yes. Works for any Apple mobile product with a lightning connector, even those that still have 3.5mm stereo plugs. I use them on my iPad and iPhone. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Is there a snooze alarm feature |
Answer: | No. |
Question: | where is it made |
Answer: | Sad to say, the Seiko like all else nowadays is made in CHINA. It is mostly plastic and probably a knock-off imitation. |
Question: | is this clock non ticking |
Answer: | It is totally silent. Hold it next to your ear, and you cannot hear a thing. But the alarm is a bright and loud chirp-like sound which is sure to wake you. I have had mine for about 25 years and I just love it. Folded it is about 1/4 inch thick. There is no other travel alarm clock that is so compact as this one. It will fit into your shirt pocket and no one will even notice it. Buy it, if you can find it. And if you do, please tell me where, as I would like to buy a few as they will make great gifts. |
Question: | where is it made |
Answer: | These clocks are assembled in China using Japanese movements. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Is the clock silent? And where was it manufactured |
Answer: | In the lower left corner you have a "dial", which you can use to select a beep- beep-beep tone, or a constantly ringing tone. They are different sounds. I did not perceive any ascendancy during alarm, but in the lower right corner, you can spin the "dial" to select a lower or loud tone. Although my tone is set near the lower limit, and it always wakes me, I was able to spin the "dial" to a much louder setting. I think it can wake the hard of hearing if necessary. |
Question: | Do the hands glow in the dark |
Answer: | On the backside of the clock is a switch that allows you to activate (up) the alarm and also to deactivate / shut off the alarm (down). So, the one switch does both. There is no other way to shut the alarm off. |

User questions & answers
Question: | where is it made |
Answer: | Yes, the hands have a small strip of luminous on them. |
Question: | Country of origin |
Answer: | Your question prompted me to look more closely at the clock features. The knob on the lower left allows bell or buzz. I've always used the bell from the very start, and, even with the volume knob on the lower right turned to the lowest volume setting, the alarm is effective. I'll have to give the buzz alarm a try. Not quite sure what you mean about an ascending alarm. If you're asking if the volume increases the longer it is allow to ring, I don't know. |
Question: | Is it blue or purple |
Answer: | Good and loud - enough to wake anyone up! |

User questions & answers
Question: | Is it non ticking |
Answer: | I have No Idea, haven’t seen anything about a warranty with my clock!! But it did take A Very Long Time To Receive This Clock!!! |
Question: | My alarm clock makes no sound no matter what I try. It is switched on, has fresh batteries, and the volume is max. How do you get it to start working |
Answer: | I purchased this recently. The sound is a beep. I too wish it was still made in Japan. My old Seiko alarm clock was made in Japan. This new one is larger and lighter weight where the old one was heavier and the outer shell was pearlescent white which I always liked for my nightstand. It still works but has been dropped so many times the hands aren’t in the right place and the face has clouded. I’m ok with the new one, it has all the numbers and is easy to read but I wished they still made the old one it was more stylish and more feminine. I have found you can’t duplicate anything anymore. Quality is not the same for a lot of things. |
Question: | The listing says the clock is by Seiko but the clock doesn't have the Seiko brand on the face like the black one does. Is this a genuine product |
Answer: | about 5 minutes |
Question: | What are the different alarm options? More than one bird song |
Answer: | Typically it is the light sensor that when activated allows the clock face to illuminate as the room darkens. |
