I also got one for 8 yr old great grandson who is always asking time , day, date etc. he now says "I know, go look at my clock". Question:	do the glow in the dark hands really work, or do they fade overnight? I'm looking for them to glow enough so that I can see it overnight
Answer:	The hands glow but only the hour hand really shows up because it is thicker. If it is a time where the hands are close together they are hard to distinguish. If I wake during the night I can see the glowing hands but I think glowing numerals would help to really tell the time in the dark. Mine have not faded that I can tell.

I have the Retro Red clock and I have to hold that one up to my ear to hear the ticking. Since I was pleased with the Retro Red clock I wanted to get another one for different bedroom and decided to get another color thinking it would be the same and was very disappointed it was not.

Answer:	My 18V adapter is working. The manual is confusing. In the installation instructions (on pg. 2) it says transformer rating must be 16 Volt AC, 10 or 15 wattt. But in the troubleshooting area (pg. 4) it says to "test the output of your transformer with a volt meter. Voltage should read 18 - 22 volts AC on the low voltage side of the transformer when chime is NOT playing." "If volt meter reads below 18 volts, replace the transformer." I am using my 18VAC adapter to also power a Nest Hello Doorbell. Everything is working.
