Answer:	Total width--this includes the outside measurement with the legs.

Answer:	I was thinking it's too high also. Perhaps take a hacksaw and cut the legs down a little, maybe 1/2" - 1" from the bottom of the legs or where ever you think it should be. It's designed to let the coals fall thru to create a full bed of glowing coals. This is what you want. You can always add more logs and they will burn better with the hot coals below.

Answer:	The very front is 13 1/2”. This is for the 18” grate. I don’t know about 21” grate but I assume it would be approx 5” smaller.

Answer:	That's what they make hot pads for. Once you start a fire I would recommend not moving it or you might get burned.

Answer:	The rack sits just a hair above....like 5 and 1/8th inch high. You could probably sit the whole rack on some fire brick, slate, or even put some type of "caps" on all 6 of the feet that sit on the ground, in order to raise it a little, if it's too tight. Hope this helps.

Answer:	Not sure. Maybe 7 or 8 lbs. The item is cute but when it was delivered the box was crushed and the the peg that the tools hang from was broken. Trying to return and or exchange was a total hassle. I ended up having to pay someone to weld it. For the price I paid for the set, it was disappointing that Noone was wilLing to fix the problem
