Answer:	Same here. The stones or glass rocks are just decorative. The glass sparkles when the fire is lit and is a colorful cover when it is off. For example if you chose red glass it would look a bit like embers when the fire is on.
Question:	Do the birch colored logs stay white or do they turn dark
Answer:	Mine have turned dark where yellow flame touches them but there's quite a bit of light color left - it seems to make them look more natural with some scorch marks. If you have a lot of flame then they'll probably get darker.
Question:	Do I need a grate to put them on or can I just set them on the gas pipe
Answer:	We used these in an outdoor gas fire pit. They look great and perform well. Looking to add them to current logs in our indoor fireplace. But we put some lava rock and colored stone between these logs and the gas pipe. The different cooling temps of these ceramic logs and gas pipe may cause them to crack.

Answer:	It would certainly work in an outdoor fireplace but the grate and burner pan are not Stainless Steel and if exposed to rain would eventually rust. If the fireplace opening has a cover and is well sheltered from the rain and provided the chimney has a cap it would be fine.

Answer:	Hi. I just wanted to let you know this is not manufactured rock Wool insulation that you can buy at home depot or any other diy store. The product is produced with inert mineral wool fibres (Ca-Mg-Al- Silicate) bonded with a trace amount of organic binder. None of this listed on California's Prop 65 was found within the MSDS. Answer:	I do.
Question:	What do I use under the ember glow
Answer:	We only ordered the logs and yes to get the effect you have to have the special pan.We ended up calling a fireplace company and they installed this special burner pan and then they put sand in the bottom and this kit also comes with the fluffy little embers that make it glow. This is the brand that they used and maybe you can find it and do the installation yourself. We were able to use the logs that we ordered here and the fireplace people said this brand was a really good brand of logs. The brand of the hearth kit is hearth & home technologies fireside burner/hearth kit. It came with the pan burner sand and grate and fluffy coals. Good luck maybe you can find this online also. the model numbers on our paper are MHK18NG,MHK24NG (for 18 inch rear of fireplace) and STMHK18NG and STMHK24NG. ( for 24 inch rear of fireplace). Our fireplace took the 18 inch length. Good luck

Answer:	You would need a Real Fyre burner system: For NATURAL GAS there are 2 primary choices: The G4 standard burner system and the G45 triple burner system. Both systems include: Grate, Burner tray, Sand, Lava Granules, glowing embers, damper clamp, and Gas connection kit. The only difference between the 2 systems is the burner tray. The triple burner system has an added burner in the front of the tray for greater illumination of the glowing embers.
