| Answer: | I looked at the picture again that is on Amazon and it shows a much lighter tone than what it actually is. In my opinion it is already very dark on the twigs and the leaves and birds have a slightly brass tone to them for contrast. My husband says that you could paint it but would recommend that you wash it thoroughly as it might have machine oil on it. Hope this helps. I love it and have had lots and lots of positive comments on it. Very unusual and it's a nice feature whether you put it in front of the fireplace, outside or somewhere else in the house. |

| Answer: | There are four separate brackets. Two shown in the picture extend to the front and keep it from tilting forward. There are another two brackets that the screen rests in that keep it firmly against the fireplace. These two brackets are anchored with Tap Con fasters you must provide into the masonry. No fashioners show from the front except those that attach the legs to the screen itself. Bottom line is that this is a very substantial, secure installation. It's overpriced, but I'm happy with it. |

| Answer: | The maximum depth of the curve is 10". Our dog kept going into our fireplace to pull out burnt logs and chew on them so even though we have a screen that draws like a curtain we needed something rigid to prevent our 'Biscuit' from making a mess. Did not want to spend much on a screen since we considered it as only a temporary solution. Boy, were we surprised how much we like this screen. Both my husband and I are both architects so we are very picky. Thought the screen might deform from the heat of the fireplace but over the last two years it has held up well. Dog is getting old but I am pretty sure we are going to keep the screen. This purchase was a very pleasant surprise.o |

| Answer: | It is made of ferrous metal, probably just mild steel. Most of the product is fabricated from solid steel shapes. However, the outer frame appears to be of tubular steel construction with right angle splines inserted to keep the frame rectangular (corners at 90 degrees). The back of the frame is welded at the corner joints while the front is not. You can clearly see the 45 degree miter joint on the face side of the frame (where it is unwelded) on both the product itself and when magnifying the Amazon photo. It is a very nice, well made, fireplace screen. |
